Tired and inexpensive, but just fine
John Bon 04/10/2017 21:49I recently stayed a couple nights while visiting friends nearby. It is a bit tired and worn, but it was clean enough, very conveniently located, and quiet. The next door restaurant served up a very satisfying breakfast.
I would stay again and very likely will.
Be it ever so humble
coates3on 25/08/2017 23:24I stayed here for a few nights when I was in the area for a driving event at the nearby Ridge Motorsports Park. It's a very basic motel, but the room was clean and I slept well. Most of the electrical sockets had long since lost their grip on plugs, so recharging my collection of gadgets was a challenge. The adjacent Blondie's diner is a great place to grab breakfast. I'd probably stay here again if I come up this way from my home in California for another track event, but I'll bring my own power strip the next time.
Ok for a night
David Gon 17/08/2017 04:53We stayed here for one night while on a motorcycle trip. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was a little shoddy. Cigarette burns in the carpet, and well worn furniture. Be sure to ask for your AARP discount if you are a member.It reduced the room rate by $12.00. The internet connection was very poor and quit completely during the evening.

A family reunion brought us to Mason County and there are not all that many places to rent a room in Mason County.
Still, we knew we really only needed a safe place to sleep and manage our care, so we trusted the reviews that said it was clean enough. It is conveniently located--even being just 2 blocks from the Safeway Store with a Starbucks...a TRUE saving feature!
It is an older motel so comes with that design and furnishing style. It's on the main "drag" so convenient to find and go to and fro. The room service was dependable, in our room the AC was so loud we didn't hear the highway sounds, but we slept well.
Shelton is not thriving these days, so it's pretty quiet, but we managed to find some good walks for exercise and loved heading to Starbucks for morning coffee before we headed to the reunion on Mason Lake. We were also able to put together some fresh fruits for our potluck contribution and got some nice cookies and cheese at the Safeway. Not bad!
I appreciate the reviews from people who stay at these various places, and in fact, it was reviews that held it was a clean and secure place to sleep, so I wanted to add my review, but this really is just a place to sleep and grab a light meal.
But, we all need those places at times--and since we didn't have a motorcycle, we didn't have to worry about how we would "wipe it down."
Very Good Value
Michael Aon 01/08/2016 18:05We were happy with our room. The bed was a bit firmer than we were used to, but we both slept OK. We had a spacious room with a king-size bed & good sized bathroom. The location is excellent. It was easy to find & close to some really good restaurants. I would recommend this place to friends.
