So relaxing
charliemccormackon 24/03/2017 07:16We had the place pretty much to ourselves for 4 days with a lovely tent and al that we needed. We were able to just chill out in the evening under the stars and enjoy a drink. The staff (from the local village) were super attentive, they served us plenty of food and were always happy to help. Had a really pleasant time here!!
I believe the safaris were separate to the sheer camp although the owner booked our spots on the jeep/cantar. Out of 6 safaris we saw 4 separate tigers on 4 of the safaris. Really can't express how lucky we were. Nature is about luck. We saw 1 tiger in Zone 5, two in Zone 7 and one in Zone 6 or 8. Absolutely amazing sightings.
Nice place to stay in territory of tiger

Nice stay
EnnyPatnion 16/03/2017 07:09We stayed for a night in one of the tents at Sher Camp. It is located very close to the Sherpur Entry Gate. The staff is very friendly and their dog is just amazing. Well, the dog was the only soul for entertainment. There is a lack of facilities. I recommend they should have some recreational facilities (apart for a carrom board, which we got after asking it for n number of times). Not having a TV in the tents was still okay. We had opted for the three meals package and the food was decent enough.
Bliss
Lokendra Fon 08/03/2017 05:48Good Location, courteous staff. The owner is really friendly and accommodating. They arranged a traditional singing night while we were there, which was a great experience. Ravi helped us with genuine advises about the safari and the town, which we really appreciated. Generally in hotels they try to make the most money out of you but not at sher camp. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it was indeed a pleasure. Kudos to the team! Best wishes.

Nice for a traditional safari feel
Abzzgon 22/02/2017 16:18Stayed just for two nights but after being in a big city, the quietness and greenery of Sher Camp is so relaxing. The food is tastes great, however after being in India for over a week, it did give us our first experience of "Delhi belly".....maybe it was because of the sudden change of food source or maybe we picked up a bug elsewhere, I'm not sure. Still tasted fine!
We struggled a bit with a language barrier but one of the employees, Ravi, spoke good enough English for us to have some nice chats. He was very friendly and did us a few favours during our stay. The staff are very courteous and attentive. The resident dog, Shant, is also super friendly and cute!
One final note - if you are booking onto a canter safari, be aware that the camp is so close to the park gate (a blessing and a curse) that you will be picked up last. This means that you get whatever seats remain and never get to chose the seat. My partner and I never got to sit together on any of our 3 safaris, let alone on the "window" side, because they had collected the other tourists on the way. I had to squash between four guys in the back whilst my partner sat at the front bench with the guide (no chair). Makes the safari experience so uncomfortable - book a gypsy!!
