Great location for conference
Mandy Pon 28/06/2017 02:33This is my third time at this conference and I really enjoy this hotel. It is perfect. The suite upstairs is fun and the accommodations are great. It has a beautiful pool and the restaurant has delicious food.
Great location but dated rooms
ogarcia58on 26/06/2017 16:20Location of hotel is great, right off I-35 and only couple of blocks from 6th street. Hotel has plenty of amenities like a bar, restaurant, and even a coffee bar. The pool is nice being that it's an outdoor/indoor pool, nice big hot tub as well. The rooms feel a little old and could use some renovation. Comfy beds and pillows. The restroom/ bathrooms could also use a face lift. Overall we had a great experience and would most likely go back, this was our 3rd time staying here. We like that it's close to the nightlife and good restaurants too.
Fine Hotel-Not a Safe area of town
Carly Don 16/06/2017 21:04I stayed at this hotel the 2nd weekend in June. Our stay was very pleasant and this was a pretty good location. We ended up ubering to most of the places we wanted to go just to be on the safe side or we wanted some adult beverages. You can tell that this is an older hotel that they have been trying to fix up. We walked past a room on our floor that they were doing some maintenance on and painting. Our room was fine for three women and the beds were comfortable. What this experience poor was that that Sunday I parked my car on the street so that way I could leave Austin at 5:30AM and not need to wake the other girls and switch key cards and wake them up. That morning when I walked out to my car my back window was smashed in and some of my things were stolen. Luckily none of it had much value, but the fallout of having to call Austin police, my car insurance, and my credit card company was a huge pain on top of having to drive 3+ hours back home with a broken window in June. I realize that the street parking is not a part of the hotel, but from where I was parked I was in direct line of vision of the hotel where there are obviously people working the valet and doors all night so I thought the area was safe.It very concerning to travel somewhere with your friends and find out where you've been staying is not safe and to have your property violated.
Great stay
Monica Bon 14/06/2017 03:05Clean rooms, great food & cocktails at the bar / restaurant: shrimp tacos & fries were amazing. Friendly reception staff & valet guys if that's what they are called. Also the lady at the coffee/ snack bar by reception is very nice. If you need anything all staff at the hotel are happy to help. Close to 6th street where the bars are with great live music
Updated, clean room
Jtannon 12/06/2017 19:08My husband and I recently stayed here for one night. Other reviews had me a little concerned, however upon our arrival we found a nice clean room. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The only complaint I would have is the noise, but considering that the hotel is directly off of Interstate 35 and our stay was at the same time as the Rotrally (about 20,000 motorcycles in downtown Austin), I don't think that the hotel is necessarily to blame. It is near enough to downtown eateries/nightlife that you can walk or catch a cab for a few dollars.
