Will not hurry back
JaneJeffreyson 29/07/2017 09:40Pros: Large rooms. Close to Disney and Disney Sea. Comfortable beds. Outdoor pool area looked nice, mini golf - maybe good for young kids. Nice view of Tokyo Bay and Disneyland
Cons: Food here is extremely expensive and extremely disappointing. Dinner buffet ends at 9.00, so if you get there at 8.30 you have only half hour to eat. Late night buffet is cheaper but basically leftovers from earlier one, Breakfast ordered from a la carte menu appeared to be taken from scrambled eggs sitting on buffet - rubbery, oozing, tasteless and grainy. served with soggy potato and ratatouille(?) toast costs extra. Only one hour free wifi if you go to the lobby. There's nothing close by to walk out to, so you need to plan your meals ahead. Communication very difficult - no-one speaks English so when asking for directions, be prepared to go somewhere completely different to where you thought you were going. No ATM.
Disappointing
VictoriaCaroleon 28/07/2017 17:22I booked this hotel for the last night of our two week trip. When staying at the Disneyland hotel in the first week I was delighted to see the location as it meant we could have a final evening in Disney.
The rooms were a reasonable price but everything else was so expensive. I have travelled all over the world and never had to pay to use the pool - nearly GBP40.00 per person per day. As this was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel we had to pay it. The food was very expensive as was the bar and the parking. So it became not good value for money.
The room was large and reasonable, not good but albeit on a non-smoking floor the room stank of cigarettes so we had to have the door permanently open to be able to tolerate it.
Location is good but disappointing overall.
The good was good the bad was bad
Kim Aon 25/07/2017 03:52Location: Easy Access, quick walk from the Monorail
Check in Service:
Needs to be improved. After serving the person in front of me, the front office staff did not acknowledge me and went over to another counter to assist a staff member. After about 10 mins standing there, another staff member proceeded to check me in. At that point , I mentioned that we had tickets that were sent to the hotel for the baseball game, that required a lot of explaining, but in the end , some effort was made to try and find them - they did not have them though the courier company had sent a detailed invoice that said it was signed for. They offered no apologies and had to be asked several times before they said that it could not be located.
The room had also been doubled booked, and we were eventually given another room which was an upgrade in the new wing of the hotel. They failed to tell us how to get to the room and we the ended up having to seek out information about the hotel and our room from the concierge.
The room :
Because we had an upgrade, we had a room that was for 4 people so it was really spacious and quite a treat as everything was brand new. Good coffee and tea facilities and an excellent view of the monorail and the sea.
The facilities:
We were stunned to learn that the pool only stayed open till 4.00 pm and even worse, there was a AUD$40 charge per person for use of it? In all my travels , I have never heard of a hotel charging hotel guests for use of the pool. It was ridiculous. They also have a leisure center with an indoor pool , sauna etc, think there was a daily charge for this as well.
There are various restaurants and cafes as you would expect at a resort hotel, but highly recommended is the Dinner Buffet at the main restaurant. It was incredible! The array of food was extensive and it took us a good 3 hours to complete the circuit ! Added to that is an unlimited drink package if you opt for it where you can help yourself - I repeat HELP yourself to a selection of any spirit, wine, liqueur, scotch . Plus Sake and Ume -Shu. All the garnishes and mixers are available too. This and the buffet all for about 9000 yen pp , it was definitely the best value you would get in the hotel.
Note that all restaurants serve a package or buffet style breakfasts. So we decided to order an American Breakfast as room service which was well worth it .
Overall:
Great location to get to Disneysea and Disneyland - quite far away from any other part of Tokyo . They have suites and areas in the hotel dedicated to dog lovers and their pets which I thought was a very different and nice touch. Staff in the food and beverage outlets were very friendly and helpful.
Also really easy to get to the airports courtesy of the Limousine Bus which picks you up directly from the hotel , for AUD$8, it is strongly recommended especially if you are finishing up your holiday as there will be ,multiple transfers via monorail and train since the hotel is not directly connected to the main railways and stations.
Great hotel in a the happiest place on earth...
sbfalexon 24/07/2017 16:16Normally I would rank this hotel a 3 star but given its proximity to both Disney parks and the vibe you get as soon as you walk in, it gets another star by default. Rooms are average at best but having stayed at other hotels in the outskirts of Disneyland, the Sheraton Grande is actually the best of the bunch. Most hotels in this area are really, old, like 1980's old but the Sheraton Grande just recently went through a massive facelift of its rooms and the results are much better. Food is not what you'd expect out of a Cat 6 SPG hotel but hey, this is the Disneyland after all and who cares about the food anyways! The best part about the Sheraton Grande hotel is that it's the closest hotel from the tram station so going to and back from Disney is a rather breeze. I've timed it before, going back to my hotel room to grab my wallet and immediately back to Disney only took 15 minutes! So in conclusion, I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't want to pay the insanely high price of the Disney operated hotels. This is your best option out of the outer rim hotels.
Special place in my heart

Due to it's proximity with Disneyland, you could feel the ambiance of the "happiest place on earth" the moment you step into the lobby. The hotel even have small shop with Disneyland' souvenir in the property.
As we came early, the hotel kind enough to allow us to use the spa to refresh ourselves.
Was book for a twin room, and surprised to find not two, but four bed in room! No complaint though.. we have our room viewing to the sea. Bit scary with the fog and everything. I always imagine that i will see Godzilla walking out of the water.
In the other hand, if i step to the balcony, i could see Disneyland and Disneysea. And somehow, it really warm my heart, despite the cold wind blowing.
Eating in two venues. one at the ground floor, and the club lounge. The food are simple, and you could sense the subtleness of the ingredients on the tip of your tongue.
I have travel to a lot of places, and I stay for only short period of time here. But somehow, it feels like I have the emotional connection already with this place. Will definitely come back.
