This afternoon I was at Sheraton to check in with a hotwire reservation. Hotwire already charged my account so this should have been a breeze.
Sheraton wanted to charge my card $50 for incidentals. Unfortunately,
the card card reader wouldn't accept the credit card I had, so I offered to pay in cash.
The manager declined and informed me they wouldn't let me stay there. I said fine, would you mind informing Hotwire that you are declining my reservation.
So I immediately called Hotwire to cancel my reservation. Hotwire wanted to speak to Sheraton to confirm that the cancellation. The manager refused to speak to Hotwire when I handed him the phone. He rudely told me to tell them to call Sheraton directly.
Hotwire called Sheraton but waited for over 20 minutes and no answer. Hotwire then asked me the name of the name of the manager who declined my reservation.
So I approached the front desk to read the managers name tag. The manager quickly yanked his nametag from his jacket and declined to give me his name.
i asked one more time if he would quickly explain to Hotwire that they were cancelling the reservation. He declined to speak to Hotwire.
Hotwire asked me again for his name then asked me to take a picture of the manager. Which I did and the manager told me he would sue me for taking a picture of him.
Not only was he cruel and rude - he was ignorant.

Price is competitive to others in the area, however, overpriced considering their poor state of their rooms. Cotton feeling pillows, noisy room if assigned to the 15th floor (gym is right upstairs- stay away), the air conditioner in the room had no air flow, TV guide did not work, a couple of sips of cognac will cost you $14.50 and the food is basically all fried. Breakfast is warm and has the typical egg, bacon etc., but it will cost you $20. My suggestion would be, pay the higher price elsewhere and be happy.

Just a block or two from the US Air Force Memorial and Arlington Cemetery. The hotel was very busy during my weekend trip but the staff seem to manage the caos very well. The hotel is historic and very clean.

Came in for a Redskin game. Check-in was easy and a friendly staff. Rooms are a little dated but nice and comfortable. Beautiful view over looking the Washington Monument.
Had a couple of drinks at the bar and burger. The beers were $6 each and the burger was $10 very reasonably priced. Bar was busy but the service was good and the food was hot on arrival.
Used the shuttle service to the airport and it was easy to use.
Comfortable hotel would definitely stay again.

We were so disappointed with this hotel. First, light bulbs were out. Second, we had several electronics we needed to plug in outlets unfortunately all were loose and made it nearly impossible to charge any electronics. Third, the tv remote wasn’t working. Fourth, they charge for WiFi??!!! I am not a member of spg but come on, who charges $14 per day for WiFi! That’s ridiculous. I spoke to the front desk about the light bulbs and the remote, it got fixed. I understand they couldn’t fix the loose outlets. Hopefully they address the issue soon because now a days it is nearly impossible to live without electronics and charging them is a must.
Also, the pool is open for three to four hours daily. Why do u even have a pool if those are the total hrs open?! The hotel was old, hallways were mistreated. Just expected more from a Sheraton hotel. Never again.
