We had a seaview room which had really good view, ask for a room on higher floor as thts the best view. The resort is absolutely beautiful and has plenty of pools of various depths also has a water park so kept our kids ages 7 & 3 very busy and entertained all day long. so many activities for the kids during the day and also evening entertainment was really good too. We enjoyed the food here too, although most days we ate lunch at the restaurant near the beach.
Would definitely recommend booking a kabana on the beach AMAZING experience that was 👌 all in all this was the best holiday we have had so far and would love to come again at some point.
the only downside was that upon arrival the room we were given had a faulty air-con so we spent 2 nights in a boiling hot room despite them trying to fix it int he end we had to really push for them to change our room which they did and thankfully we could sleep in a cool room. My suggestion to the management would be to look into your AC units and make sure that before you start putting up guests in those rooms the AC actually works properly other than that i would definitely recommend people to book this place.
Well it was me n my wife stayed here from 9th Aug for just under 2 weeks. We booked it week before we went, so was bit cautious reading the reviews. But i have give it 4 stars as lovely hotel, lots of entertainment during day & night for us and kids also if you bring them. It was good start from when we arrived as we had booked land view room but we ended receiving a full sea view which was great we thank the hotel for that. All the staff were great and in our opinion made it alot better for us as all spoke and understood English & Even my n Ireland accent fine ☺. As i mentioned earlier entertainment team was fantastic and big shout out to big Dave who was in charge of darts good laugh and we both really enjoy the craic, and also shout out to Hasan from guest relations he is a total credit to the HOTEL as we had a couple of issues but he sorted them out pretty quick, he was very friendly and again spoke perfect English. The hotels aqua park was excellent for us with 5 big slides and 2 small plus separate part for toddlers n smaller kids and well supervised. Only let down for us was the food was mainly luke warm and for us was not upto 5star standard and this is why i have only give hotel 4 stars. Would we return as a family in the future possibly but only if food variety was better and upto to 5 star standard.
Just returned from this hotel after 10 days. After arriving late we were upgraded and checked in without problem to a family room by a pleasant member of the reception team. We were told that food was available in the main dining area. Wasn't expecting much - didn't get much - roasted tomatoes and boiled rice. We decided to return to our room and sleep. Next morning, we were upgraded to a smaller but better located room with a side view of the sea. Fine.
The hotels pools and facilities are great for kids and small families. The kids played happily for hours on the water slides and there were hardly any queues for the slides throughout out 10 day stay. We alternated between both main pools (front and back of hotel) throughout the week and had no problems with keeping the kids occupied. Disagree with comments about there being plenty of sun-beds available though - there were hardly any and several times we had to base ourselves on the grass near the unused sun-beds. Some that had been claimed, typically lay unused for hours on end.
The food at Sherwood Breezes is plentiful and there is enough to go around. Should you expect more than this though? Of course you should. The food became pretty unpalatable after just a few days. Chips and chicken were the staple food on display throughout the week and although there were other options; rice, salads, fruit, ice cream etc it became pretty boring very quickly, to the point that I'd actually stopped eating at the resort by the fifth day and resorted to eating fruit. Great for the diet and I'm not a fussy eater. I just felt that the food was sub-standard and lacking in quality. No such problems with the children however, they ate all that was served up and often went back for seconds.
Be aware of the timings of when you eat as it can become a free-for-all. Witnessed several examples of people pushing in queues to take food (pushing young children out of the way in doing so) and diners removing the plates of people who had gone back for more, only to sit in their chairs and refuse to move when the occupants returned. The waiters and waitresses could not do enough to help and could not be faulted. They work very long hours for seemingly little reward. Murat the waiter was tireless in his work.
The drinks deals were less than adequate. The draught lager was fine and the wine clearly bottled but be prepared for bland and "un-branded" drinks. The taste is clearly obvious and you don't get your "money's worth" in this instance.
We only used the children's entertainment sparingly, our children were too young for the pool side games at mid-day and we did not see much of the shows in the evening to comment. Those that we did see were varied but not overly stimulating. You can't cater for everyone though so each to their own.
My wife had very good dealings with Zafal on the reception desk who also did his best to help and provide assistance when required. Suzy who was part of the kids club was also very engaging and took time to play with our young son on the times that we met her.
Positives - great pools/water slides
- nice rooms
Negatives - poor quality food
- not a lot to do in the evenings
Would we return to Sherwood Breezes? No. But good luck to those that do.
Returned for a two week stay. Animation team were as good as llast time warm and friendly lots of activities for all age ranges children are well catered for and well looked after. Lots of interaction with guests around the activity pool if you want, or you can sit and read at two quieter pools if that is what pleases. This is a fun hotel with entertainment on every night with something for everyone, to get the most out of your stay participation is rewarding with a mix of nationalities all getting along. The sfaff work particular bard putting on an array of parties eg pool party, colour party, pier party at least three every week so in the words of Ergemen and Boyka " party people are you ready'! Dance troupes and live music make up additional options.
The hotel has a great waterpark at the front , pleasant gardens and optional a la carte restaurants that can be used once per week. The main restaurant has a wide choice of dishes with child free dining area with a gala night once per week. Rooms are clean and spacious , one small criticism is the air con was not as cool as it should have been but tbis was remidied upon notifying the reception. There is a reasonable gym with enough free weights and machines to please.Shops , hairdresser and a turkish sauna msssage complete the main building. The beach and pier are a short walk as well as an array of watersports.
No review of this hotel would be complete without be without a mention for Super David, great fella , coordinates the animation team and has time for all ages, great understanding for the guests and is fun. Special thanks to Inna from Mauriopol who was a lovely warm and friendly girl to myself and my family, too many peeople to thank but they know who they are and do a great job, thanks for a great stay!
We have just come back from our fortnight break at this hotel and can honestly truly say what a fab time was had by all. The hotel caters for about 1700 people and what a fab job they do. The hotel is lovely and clean, the staff are hardworking, friendly, polite and eager to help or please.
On arrival, the staff were only to eager to help and show us to our room. Our room was only a standard side sea view room but we managed for our family with a lovely view of the pools. Next time would look at booking a family room though!
Hassan - Guest Relations was always on hand to help with any queries or to sort out any problems that we had. He was always walking round the resort, asking people if everything was going ok and whether they were enjoying their holiday. We had a problem with the wifi as it is practically non existent and he did try to sort it out for us. Unfortunately for us, we couldn't get wifi in our room which was on the second floor, but friends we did meet did get wifi in their room which was on the 6th floor. You could get wifi at the adult pool and at certain areas in the lobby or medieval bar.
Entertainment team work really hard to keep everyone entertained from holding activities throughout the day such as water polo, water gym, football, darts, archery, air rifle shooting and much more so always busy. They would hold entertainment at the pool at lunch time which was great fun and they would encourage everyone to join in. We would like to give a special mention to Dave from the entertainment team. He was such a character with a great sense of humour, very friendly and good organisation of entertainment. He was a star!
At nights the entertainment was fab, there was something different every night from parties on the beach, to parties on the pier to garden parties plus shows of dance acts, Mongolian acrobats, bingo to acts where people from audience where on stage competeing. These had us in fits of laughter as they were so funny. There was something to do or see every night - brilliant.
Hotel was on the beach so this was good as you could take yourself off to the beach for the day where their was a wide range of water sports on offer(payable) plus their was always sunbeds to lounge on these were on the beach or on the pier.
There were seven pools around the hotel two out the front with water slides- one for the younger children and then there was two baby/toddler pools with canopies over them, one big main lagoon style pool where entertainment and water polo took place, adult pool plus another biggish pool. There were always sun beds around so no running around trying to find one.
Lovely gardens that were well maintained.
There was one main restaurant, plus snack bars around the resort. The food was lovely and always something that everyone would eat. Throughout the days the boys ate from the robins snack bar which had everything from hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, Pizza, fish, pasta, fruit, salad, jacket potatoes, ice cream, waffles, soup. The all inclusive was 24 hours a day so you could always get something.
You could go to the a-la-carte restaurants during your stay and would definitely recommend the Mongolian. The Italian was very nice too so both definitely worth a visit.
There was a games room where you could go bowling , play pool, PS4 and some other arcade games. A bit pricey but something for the children to do.
On the whole the resort is very nice and well maintained with something for all ages. Their is a souvenir shop, photo shop, leather shop, clothes shop, jewellery shop, spa, indoor pool and a convenience shop. So you don't need to leave Resort but if you do their are numerous shops and malls just outside the hotel. On the down side their are only three lifts so if you are on one of the higher floors expect a wait, we were lucky as on the second floor. Just hope they manage to sort out wifi for next year and then this hotel would definitely tick all the boxes, but definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a family holiday and wifi isn't an issue. Our boys are teenagers so this was the only problem for them!
We were so delighted with our trip to Sherwood that we are now looking at going back next year. A big thank you to everyone for making our stay as lovely as it was!! Xx
