I wouldn't call it a resort
Indyrkaon 16/06/2017 12:31We had to find accomodation at the last minute.
I called and talked to a man in reception and he offered us a self contained unit, which was a great relief for us.
On arrival he was some what friendly. Had charged a surge card on out credit card without informing us.
He wasn't really interested in us, more just taking our payment.
On arrival to the room it smelt like bleach.
Was a clean property nothing plush.
Couches weren't comfortable to sit on
Remote for tv didnt work
Got very cold at night, no heating
Not a serviced apartment.
If you need extra toilet paper they charge you 2.00 dollars a roll.
If you want more towels they charge you.
No real customer delight
Water pressure isn't very high
Internet is limited to 2g , which I have never had to experience.
Shingley beach resort is about a 20-25 minute to City centre. It's a nice walk though.
An average stay. I wouldn't stay there again. May suit some people.
Great location!
KZogoulason 18/01/2017 00:59We visited Shingley Beach resort for two nights last week. The location is lovely, opposite the Marina and in a quiet little pocket of Airlie.
Our apartment was a three bedroom, 2 storey with beautiful views across the Marina and Whitsundays.
The apartment itself is a little dated but really well maintained and clean.
The only negative for us is that neither of the two swimming pools has a shallow end per se so they're not the easiest pools for kids to play in. Other than that it's a lovely place.
Quiet Location with View
KruegsAuston 06/01/2017 00:16The resort presents well and is located in a quiet area. The furniture is older but still okay. We enjoyed the stroll to town. The path to Airlie Beach takes you through Abell Point Marina and Coral Sea Resort.

Great Xmas
MicknStephon 27/12/2016 08:40We spent 4 nights at Shingley Beach Resort over Xmas. Great location if you like a quiet spot in Airlie over the road from a beautiful park and beach, which suited us. Room, pools and resort area was very clean. For those booking in the future, keep in mind that the 2 bedroom apartments do not have a main bedroom ensuite - the toilet, shower and laundry are all in one room and there is no exhaust fan. This is always a challenge for 4 adults in one apartment. You have to pay extra for the 2 bedroom deluxe to get 2 bathrooms. Personally, this was a disappointment for us for the price we paid. Even having the toilet separate from the bathroom would have been better for us. Another disappointment was the lack of WiFi and mobile phone reception in your room.Some TV channels were also not available.Even though we did have a great 4 nights, we will not stay at Shingley Beach Resort again.
Lovely apartment
Amanda Bon 23/12/2016 05:38This hotel is clean and of the same standard as the Waters Edge in Airlie but a on the cost level more affordable, the views are pleasant looking over a shared driveway at the moored yachts. Being in Shingley Beach was nicer than staying in Airlie as it was quieter. We moved 2 times as we were staying here for 10 days 1st apartment was a 2 bedroom then when the family members departed my husband and I moved into a 1 bedroom which was roomy and very quiet and very pleasant aspect with trees on one side and no shared walls nor looked over the shared driveway which could be a bit noisy with families chatting etc. We enjoyed staying here as we felt quite at home. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately the a/c was a bit noisy and need repair but still worked beautifully.
