Jerry Hon 02/02/2017 02:17We stayed in a glorious 3 bedroom unit that was one of the nicest we ever visited. Surrounded by nature with a gorgeous patio. Close to golf, steps from a pool. About a mile from the beach by way of some lovely bike paths. The resort offers discounted tours to Savannah and Beaufort. Private, Quiet, immaculately clean, great WiFi! We loved it!
Comfortable enough for the price!
Jenn_Wennon 20/08/2016 19:33We were initially told to check in at The Player's Club at 4:30, but we didn't arrive until after 8PM when The Player's Club had closed at 5:30! We stopped at the SR Hotel and I was warmly greeted by Helena who explained to me that they have to handle the evening guest flow. I was thankful to understand this, however it would have been more efficient to have this indication with the received documentation for our stay. But overall we had a nice stay. Full kitchen, lots of clean towels, clean condo and everything worked as it should. We were also a short distance away from the pool, and although we had present neighbors you couldn't hear a thing from them inside the condo. The deck in the back had a nice view of the golf course, too! If you're the type that has reasonable expectations of a resort, this is a good place to be!

hubba747on 17/08/2016 21:19The place we stayed was very good very quiet. The pool was very very warm. Walking distance to the beach. Driving distance to everything is good too. For the first time visiting Hilton Head I recommend people to stay there and then venture out to a resort
A week in Spinnaker Resort Hotel, Hilton Head Island, SC
Thomas Son 16/07/2016 02:26My experience with Spinnaker can be summed up in two words - not good. I shared a connecting room with my son and daughter in law. Upon checking in I found the right building and the luggage cart. I unloaded my car only to discover that they provided a luggage cart but no elevator to get it to the second floor. The first thing my son had to do was have maintenance come up and fix the hallway door as it wouldn't close. The did fix for him. I entered my room and the first thing I noticed was there was a gap all around the door and the hallways are not air conditioned so my air conditioner worked very hard. I put my stuff away and stepped out on the balcony only to discover my view consisted of a large tree whose branches actual touch the balcony rain. I looked to the left and had a lovely view of one of those large metal containers being used by maintenance for storage. I then looked to the right and through the trees I could see an occasional car going down the street. I thought ok I'm here with family so this would work for a week.
They emphasized they offer a continental breakfast. Being an early rising I went down to the main lobby to find it. There sat some coffee pots and four plates of small pastries and mini-muffins. No juice, cereal, milk, fruit or anything else. I did see one family come in with small children and leave and a woman came in and left saying "hows a diabetic supposed to have a breakfast like that."
I must say the staff was very nice but frankly that is the only good thing I can say about this place.
Rooms need to be revamped
Katina340on 31/05/2016 04:34We took a weekend trip for timeshare deal. Reading the reviews left doubts for the entire trip. Checked reviews on TA and found that there was a somewhat better POV from what was reviewed on Google. The hotel room had dirty carpets, The sofa bed was old, creaky, dirty cushions, and the mattress was disgusting and thank God it was not made up (that would have covered the filth). The bathroom was not the cleanest, and the shower was very small. The hotel needs a fresh coat of paint in the rooms, the carpets need to be ripped up and replaced. The hotel lends a definite air of tackiness and as I said needs a complete overhaul. If you are looking just for somewhere to rest your head with little time in the room, then this may be a good choice for you.
