Ryokan 40 min from Nagoya
KEHCLon 29/10/2014 02:38This Ryokan is a bit out of the way from Nagoya but there is a direct train from Kanayama station to Mikawa Miya station. Or you can change train at Gamagori.
The hotel provides free shuttle between both stations and the hotel. As we didn't know what time we will be arriving, we didn't inform the hotel for a pick up. Luckily, as we exited the station my husband who can read Chinese, saw the words Shofuen on the bus.
The spa was wonderful and very clean. Staff was friendly. An elderly staff came to our room before dinner to see whether we needed help wearing the Yukata and we did need her help!
Advisable to order your meals from your hotel as there are no restaurants around.
We were the only foreign tourists there at that time.
No wifi in room but available in lobby
