There was no power when I arrived. I needed the place to spend the night and catch morning flight. No power backup also. Manager was very rude, had to cancel the booking there itself and spend the night elsewhere. Also, location is so weird from the main road that the last stretch took me around 40-45 minutes to find. The hotel contact numbers were not working.

Worst hotel - travelers are requested not to get in the hotel.

Totally worst hotel (!). Not to suggest to stay here. Reality & picture shown are day-night difference. Last day I stay there with my family. I booked a AC room. I get room with some exiting features: i.e. room door broken, room like 4"/6" with AC which is mostly out of order, TV not working properly, Bathroom door covered with simple glass which shows everything of inside of bathroom from room, Flash at toilet are broken, unable to get water after toilet. Bathroom are internal door (for why I don't know").

After entering in room I call for change the room but no one on hotel interested in it. When I told this to the manager, he says our hotel is this type. They charge me Rs. 1100/- per day instead of Rs. 1260/- per day.

Really, I did not ever seen these worst type of hotel ever. Travelers are requested not to go this hotel.

***** They are west to change the name of hotel as like "Gopal Gobinda Hotel" . Please don't trapped.

A mess, but convenient location

I stayed here for one night as I had a morning flight to catch.

It is literally 5 minutes away from the airport down a straight road. The outside is shabby, as is the interior, with peeling paint, mould and inexplicable holes in the walls.
I stayed in a non-AC room- so called because the AC unit in the room was broken!
The windows were partly smashed and did not close, which was disconcerting as the mosquitoes flying around outside were noticeable. There was a toilet along the hall, but when I asked if there was a shower, I was presented with the ubiquitous bucket and jug.
Considering the heat outside and having just a fan, I actually slept rather well. The bed's were clean, although I wasn't given any bed linen (not that I would have needed it).

Overall, having seen the condition of the new Kolkata airport terminal, you may as well sleep there- at least it has air-con and one can buy unopened mineral water!
