COMFORTALE, CENTRALLY LOCATED
PhangSingaporeon 20/05/2017 17:16Our second visit in two years. At Zongfu Lu (main uilding) with famous Chunxi Lu and large shopping malls on one side and old section of city on the other, best location to ask for. Attached to Crown Plaza with which it shares restaurants and gym facilities and indoor pool. Rooms spaceous, adequately furnished with safe and fridge, and well maintained. Adding a few small bathroom items will help. Plenty of eateries including well-known names serving traditional cusines around the hotel. Staff are polite and efficient but could be more proactive. Metered taxi easily available and popular destinations including panda breeding centre and historical sites are not far away and easily accessible. Underground and public buses are another way to get round the city. Strongly recommended and will stay at the hotel again in our next visit to Chengdu later this year.
Nice front office team but can do better..
Denis son 05/06/2016 08:12We have been there for 2 days with my families.. The concierge look bored and use his phone during a talk... I know this is the chines culture but the price is not chines... About the room : the size is ok but unfortunatly noisy due to a bulding underconstruction just near (thanks for the nice view...)
So i didn't recomand...
Good location for shopping
SanRobboon 24/07/2015 17:20The hotel is right next door to the Crown Plaza. The beds were hard (as usual), there was a safe & a fridge and a good sized bath. HBO & CNN were available on the TV. The breakfast had a great selection of Chinese food, not quite as good western selection. There is a handy little shop next door for water, etc.
Across the road are a couple of large 'walking' streets - pedestrian shopping areas, with loads of chain stores, boutiques, etc. There were also several restaurants, some sited on the top floor of department stores.
Clean & comfortable hotel
MFoo_22on 09/03/2015 05:43Hotel located centrally and within walking distance of shops and eateries. They clean the rooms everyday, changing the linen and towels daily. Service is also good and friendly. The only setback is the lingering smell of cigarette smoke in the room even though it is designated non-smoking.
OK for a night or two
alannevillenzon 13/10/2014 10:25Recently stayed for one night in the West Wing as part of a Wendy Wu tour. Overall we stayed at 4 hotels on the tour and this was the smallest.
Relatively good central location with a real Chinese, rather than a western, feel.
The bedroom was OK for a night. Nothing special but nothing that was really bad. The bed was firm but you expect that in China. Bathroom was clean in need of some TLC.
We did not eat at the hotel other than breakfast, which was again OK although like most Chinese hotels the selection of western cereals was poor.
Very much a one night stop to see the Pandas.
