Beware of reception staff and manager

As lots of the other reviews the apartments are very roomy and clean. The pool bar staff were very friendly and helpful.
If you want to use the safe in the apartment or get wifi ensure you obtain a receipt, I paid for both within an hour of arriving, when I checked out they demanded payment again insisting I had not paid. They would not let the transfer driver load our suitcases until I paid again.
I asked for a kettle to boil water but they stated they were all being used by other guests and we should used the saucepan, this was more like a casserole pan!
The restaurant manager hassled us on 4/5 occasions to eat in the hotel.
My sister slipped on water at the pool bar and hurt her self, (this became a broken hip), the restaurant manager insisted she get up and sit on a chair, we asked them to get an ambulance, they said only the manager had the authority to call an ambulance, when one of the bar staff spoke to him, he was very reluctant to make the call.

We stayed there for a week and we had a great time. The rooms are big and clean. The girl behind the counter was a great help to figure out our pick up time.
It is near the beach and near the city centre.
Will stay here again on my next trip to Alanya

Sifalar hotel.

Şıfalar Trıp Advısor notes

The Sifalar consists of two Six storey blocks. One beside the main thoroughfare through the town & the other, separated by the swimming pool& bar further back. There is also a Sifalar annex a hundred yards along the other side of the road. Our room was 1302 overlooking the road on the 3rd floor.

First impressions.

Our apartment was large, consisting of two large bedrooms a large kitchen/ sitting room & a bathroom. There was lots of cupboard space, everything worked, I.e. cooker hobs, lights, taps, constant very hot water, adequate cutlery, pans gasses, air conditioning, fridge etc. the two armchairs & sofa were very comfortable and the apartment was light & airy. The bathroom had a bath with a shower & a shower curtain, toilet & marble sink unit. The bathroom smelled a bit "drainy" at times & the only air vent was an adjustable vent. The bathroom would have benefited from an extractor fan.

Our room had two balconies, one facing the street & the other on the corner of the building. We had sunshine On the balconies from sunrise till the sunset. Excellent for sunbathing. The apartments below us were shaded by Palm trees. The only issue, if like us, spending the evenings on the balcony was almost constant traffic noise with the odd mobile disco (cars) & thunderous motorbikes. Once the double glazed windows were closed it minimised the traffic noise & was not a problem during the night. Noise from other rooms was almost non existent.

The swimming pool was shaded most of the day from the sun & the pool bar was covered in case of rain. The dining room overlooked the pool & you could also dine alfresco.

One major plus was that during the whole two weeks we were never once asked or pressured to eat in their dining facilities. A first in all the hotels where I have stayed in Turkey. The staff were always very courteous & helpful.

Internet was 2€ per day & the reception was good beside the pool bar but in our room I could not get a decent connection unless I was leaning out the window.

The hotel is in the city but you can walk down to the beach in less the 10 minutes.
There are dozens of restaurants to satisfy any tastes & price range within close proximity.

Would I stay at the Şıfalar again? Certainly.

Very clean & spacious may 2014

Two of us shared a one bed apartment on a self-catering basis very spacious & clean, Swimming Pool very clean overall very clean complex.
Staff :
Reception staff: polite
Restaurant manager : very persistent wanting everybody to eat in the restaurant even when you are on a self catering basis menus are positioned everywhere around the complex making you feel uncomfortable same to be said for the Bar Manager: and when you are not willing to purchase food or beverages everyday they seem to ignore you restaurant manager stands near exit every evening trying to entice people into the restaurant when people are leaving the complex no free wifi when mostly all outside establishment's offer this for free . Cleaning ladies : They were polite & friendly and seemed to work very hard.
Hotel Position :
10 minute walk to the beach.
15 minute walk Alanya centre
Plenty of supermarkets nearby

Hotel is in a fantastic location Only takes 10/15 minutes too walk to the centre Lovely staff also! When we arrived in the hotel the apartment was very clean personal is very friendly thanks for huseyin (restaurant manager)
