Dave Eon 10/05/2017 16:06Warm and friendly, great value, well kept. Nice garden rooms and a very nice continental breakfast. We will definitely stay here again when in Salida. We had a two room suite and found it to be very satisfactory.

roadhard2017on 02/05/2017 15:05Nice young couple running this motel. Room was clean, but a little aged. Bed was comfortable though. We were making a trek from Denver to Alamosa and decided to stop in Salida for a night. My girlfriend made the reservation kinda spur of the moment. The price was great value for what we received. The continental breakfast was nice and hit the spot for a quick bite before heading out.
Nice older motel experience

We stayed a couple nights in the Princeton Suite, which has a lot of room, reasonably priced for a family of 4, exactly what we wanted for a ski weekend. Front desk was friendly (although I could tell she's had the same conversation about a thousand times), breakfast was what you'd expect, beds comfortable, and it's across the street from the hot springs. Only negatives are the age of the building - walls are paper thin, we could hear conversations next door like they were yelling, the bathroom door doesn't close all the way and the bathroom floor noticeable slopes, stuff like that. But you didn't come to Salida to hang around a motel room.
Nice mom n pop with all the basics for a great price
agoontheron 10/03/2017 16:37This is a great place to stay for those not needing anything fancy. I was there during a cold streak and it was hard to keep the room warm, the heaters are noisy but the managers were wonderfully accommodating by giving me an extra blanket which helped me keep the heat down a little. Since I was there for business and not pleasure, it was not the best set up for me and all my computer equipment but it is indeed a decent place. I had more than enough hot water, cold water, bed was comfortable.
Good stay for a good price but if you want fancy corporate things, go to a chain. This is a nice old fashioned mom and pop that some of us still like. Just not enough electricity for business.
