What People are saying

Great hotel for families

Mark Ron 02/08/2017 08:02

This hotel is in a quiet location and it's worth hiring a car as there are some lovely sites around here. When we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful as we had a problem with the safe which the last guest had locked and the balcony door which was quickly remedied. There was always a rush for food in the evening but there was always plenty of good food on offer. On the whole the staff reflected their guests and if you were polite and respectful to them they were friendly in return. The pool is lovely and great fun for kids and adults. The staff were all very friendly and worked very hard to look after you. A great place to stay and explore this area of Turkey

Awful

I went with 2 friends for 1 week. We arrived at the hotel at midnight and we had been travelling all day and we just wanted to go to bed , but when we entered our room it was so hot! The member of staff turned on the air conditioning and left us to it and said it would get cold quickly. We were trying to get to sleep but it seemed to be puffing out more hot air than cold so we called reception. The member of staff who came up was the same member of staff who showed us to our room he didn't seem very happy we had called them and they were very rude which was not a very good start. We eventually got to sleep.
It was our first morning we were really looking forward to a lovely delicious breakfast but no it was horrible not a lot of choice and no eggs ..... There was nothing suited to us Brits. So we decided to not have breakfast for the rest of the holiday.
We went down to the pool that was nice a big size and it had 2 slides which were good. One problem we did find around the pool was there wasn't a lot of shade around the pool so in the heat of the day we did have to go in doors.
Lunch time came we went to the bbq this was better than breakfast but not much better ..... Everything was not very hot and there was not a lot of choice ..... All food items seemed very repetitive over the week.
Dinner was not very good ...... Not very much choice at all .... All looked horrible and was not very hot, very repetitive and nothing suited to us Brits.
We did complain but nothing was done. Tables in restaurant were not cleared we had to eat at dirty tables. We asked for drinks in the buffet but was told we had to go to the bar to get them which was not helpful when you just found some food which you might like to eat. They were just rude and unhelpful.
Most of the holiday we were starving and living on Pringles we brought from the shop. Think instead of putting weight on I lost weight instead because there was nothing to eat.
The staff were ok but some were rude and if you was a woman you had to wait longer than if you was a man or if you spoke the language at the bar.
The entertainment was ok the best night for us was the disco night because I was away with 2 girl friends so we were able to have a dance and a drink and enjoy ourselves.
Room was a good size but our sheets and towels only got changed 2 times over our stay.
Entertainment staff worked hard.
When it came to the day of coming home I was looking forward to some English food.
Would not recommend this hotel at all and it's a long way from the airport.

It's average

So there are good and bad points about this hotel. Let's start with the good.
- The air con is on point
- The rooms are big
- The pool is big enough for how many people are there
- The drinks are pretty decent for all inclusive
- The animation team try their best to make sure everyone is having a good time

And on to the bad
- I've never had to battle for my food before. Honestly it's absolute madness. There is no order and people are so selfish, piling plates upon plates with the best food so nobody else can have any. If you want to relax around any of your meal times this is not the place for you.
- I've never known a bingo game to take so long, id give that a miss.
- You can only get wifi in the lobby, which is irritating but manageable.

And some other points of note:
- This hotel caters predominantly for Turkish and Russian people. This isn't a bad thing, it's just not really geared up for brits. I think we were one of two English families in the entire hotel.
- Camyuva as a town is quiet, and there isn't much going on. The nearest place to find a proper town is a 20 minute cab journey to Kemer.
- This hotel is a LONG way from Antalya airport.

Over all I probably wouldn't go back. I had a great holiday, but i think it was the company I had that made it what it was.
A big thank you to the animation team for being so attentive. You guys do a great job.

Fab holiday

We've just returned from a fantastic holiday at simena.....the swimming pool is second to none and our boys loved it....the food is mostly catered for Europeans except British but I'm sure most people will enjoy it, breakfast was great as they have fresh made pancakes, omelettes and fried eggs which was good enough for us and the kids...the pool snack bar was good for lunch, rooms are basic but free juice and water in the mini bar, free safe in room and the hotel is spotless....we will definitely return to this hotel in the future......also the animation team are good fun

An excellent vacation!

I stayed there for a week with my parents and have to say it was really unforgettable vacation. Our room (as I remember #417) is big, cozy, very clean and full of light because of huge windows. There are a lot of vegetables, yummy and various sweets in the restaurant. Also fish were served 4 or 5 times in a week; meat were presented by chicken, beef and I don't know what else:) The territory of the hotel is amazing but I should say that the beach is a rather small. WiFi is free and has a good speed. I just want to give one advice to the guests of the Simena : if you want to take a lunch pack clarify what does it consist of because we had an awful but funny surprise :))
