Room looked liked updated recently so it was ok... Restaurant was good and free breakfast had many more items than your normal free start to the day...The only downside was hotel location...hard to find and looked like industrial area.

We had trip booked to have a trip to the iceberg attraction and puffin birds watching. Hotel has nice rooms, simple breakfast menu and not the best dinner restaurant "Mystic" with frozen fish and not the best menu over all. Find another place to have a dinner, bathrooms does not have hair conditioner, no bottle water in a room BUT! On every floor you can find the machine where you can buy for $2 water and Pepsi. Very clean! Easy to warm up of you feel cold or chilly, we had 2 queen beds; powerful hairdryer and great cleaning lady! For your breakfast you can go to across the road to the Bread Cafe. Tim Hortons 5 min to drive; plaza with Dominion in a 2 min if you need some salad or shampoo.

Worth a second look after the first impressions

Look past the faded sign, lace curtains, slightly murky windows, and dark reception area. Our room was clean and updated, which was great. However, the sink backed up easily and drained super slowly. Bring conditioner or pop by the Shoppers down the street if you forget yours like I did. The hotel only supplies shampoo (conditioning shampoo is not a thing!). The buffet breakfast was decent, although they did not have orange juice thawed and available, and the coffee refill was a bit slow to happen. Wifi is decent, although you may have to jump around the various hotel networks to get the best connection. Pro tip: ask for a top-floor room. The stomping from other guests' footsteps overhead can get ridiculously loud!

We had queen size bed, large sitting area with small kitchen facilities. I assume they would class our room as a 'suite'. Good size bathroom, large closet area, elevators. Breakfast included. Very nice dining room. Would recommend it for one or more night's stay. Five minute walk to large mall. Fast food outlets 5 minutes away. Great location.

Comfortable - Lucked Out With a Suite

Because there are limited places to stay in Gander, we found this hotel quite comfortable. For some reason the tour company assigned us a suite so we had more amenities than expected. Enjoyed the experience even if it was only for one night.
