Our room was very clean but a little worn. It was a little noisy from the heating system, appliances and even the sewer. Would not touch the "deluxe" continental breakfast and neither would my dog. It was two pieces of pre-cooked bacon in a baggy, who-knows-how-old hard-boiled eggs and a loaf of stale bread to make toast.

We stayed here last week as we were traveling and needed a pet friendly hotel for our small dog. It was run down, towels were dingy beige instead of white and hunters in several surrounding rooms were very noisy leaving at 5 am the next morning. I went down for bfast and there was nothing that looked at all appetizing so just poured a cup of coffee and it was so luke warm it was not even drinkable. Will not stay again nor recommend.

Great place!

Always enjoy my stay here. GREAT BEDS!!!!! Service is good. Very clean. Never a complaint from me. Always appreciate the room having a good iron and ironing board. That always is a great perk for me. I'll be back next year when I'm passing through the area for sure!!!!

Penny Pinching mode, failed to honor price quoted

This property has gone downhill over the years. For a while, it was our preferred place to stay in Southwest Kansas.
To start with, I called to ask current rate, and I was quoted a special rate of $69 for two people, if I would choose to stay there instead of Garden City.. When I got there, I mentioned the special quote, and the owner would not honor the rate, even though both my wife and I heard the special quote for two. I ended up paying a higher rate than the rate I was quoted on the phone. Here, the customer is not ever right.
The chairs in our room were in very bad shape, heavily damaged arm rests, pictures below..
The breakfast was very disappointing, no protein items for my wife who is diabetic. First place I have seen a sign, asking "grazers" to pay $4.50(??) for breakfast.
These guys like to pinch pennies, seems they are not concerned at all about us wanting to return next time.
In the morning, I needed to print a document with 12 pages, could not get to print on the motel printer. Finally, I asked the manager how to get the document to print. He asked how many pages, and I replied 12. He arrogantly said, that is why, you are printing too many pages. There was a limit of 8 pages. Really? No note to tell me that. First time ever in my life I have seen a limit on pages to print.
The carpet does need cleaned more often.
WIFI was slow and intermittent.
This place is no longer our lodging of choice in Southwest Kansas.

Better management

I was in town for a class reunion. The room was comfortable but about 2 a.m. someone was trying to get into my room. After about five minutes they left. I had the bar across the door along with the deadbolt on. A few minutes later someone was at the door again but this time it was the hotel personnel and they opened my door. It turns out the guest had the wrong room. I work at a hotel and when a guest has problems with their keys or doors we ask their name room number and the most important thing we ask for an id. This is for the safety of our guests. Well it was obvious that this hotel did not ask for the guests id. I will not stay here again because I did not feel safe.
