Lovely pub
David Lon 16/02/2017 20:46Just popped in for a drink, great service really nice and clean restaurant area, looks like a nice play area for the kids....probably better in summer though! Seems like it was the only pub open in the area on a Monday night and this was 6pm 😳
Good Menu
Barry Eon 13/02/2017 18:18The dish was cooked to perfection and the restaurant was very clean and staff very polite. A varied menu that could be changed for your meal choice upon request. Parking is excellent and access to the bar and eating area is good.
Well worth returning to.

Found this little gem, when searching Internet, for a B&B near friends party; on 8 minute drive away, so that was great.
Very welcoming, family run Tudor Manor House. Well maintained gardens and I would expect lovely in the summer. My booking was 21/11/15 and it was in that weekend cold snap we had.
Being a townie, it was a cold shock when I got out of the car. As stated, I have friends in the countryside, so I should have known to wear more layers.
Shown to a lovely room, over looking the gardens, beautiful showerroom and all the usual amenities. Although the radiator was on, the room to me seemed a little cold but I quaked up the radiator to high and that solved to problem. Should you worry about the cold wooden and tiled floor, don't, I do not know if there is underfloor heating but when I returned, the floors were nice and warm.
I should mention, that this room is not for the walking impaired; due to the quirky staircase with a rope handrail but I know they do have other rooms, including a four poster bedroom.
I had been quoted £70 for the night and as I asked for a cooked breakfast, rather than a continental, I was pleasantly surprised, when that price did not increase and talking of breakfasts, they did not stint.
There was only me staying that night but there was a fast selection to choice from; as shown in my photo, before the cooked, I was offered Cheese & Meats as well. Full English plus hot roll & croissant and the service; nothing was too much trouble.
I asked for breakfast at 10:00 and to check out at 11:30 no trouble.
My next Kent party, is in June next year and I will be booking again.
Superb b&b
Grumpy1939on 11/10/2015 12:05This is one of the very best b&bs of the many we have enjoyed in UK and on the continent. The Garden Room is a lovely bright, comfortable bedroom, with an impeccable modern stylish bathroom. Booking process was efficient and friendly, the welcome warm and personal. We had the most generous and appetising breakfast ever in the grand historic dining room. The staircase is a bit of a challenge for anyone with mobility problems, but otherwise this was a perfct and indeed memorable experience.
Perfect in every way
Mrs_J_S-1960on 24/06/2015 01:02A very old and beautiful building with all of the original features. We just loved it!
Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with useful advice about the local area.
Our room was huge with a beautiful 4 poster bed and a lovely state of the art old fashioned style bath in the corner, plus the usual ensuite facilities. Very comfortable and clean with plenty of storage space and a lovely selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits.
Breakfast was at a long dining table adorned with fresh flowers in the great hall with its beautiful wood panelling and views over the garden. One of the best breakfasts we have had anywhere. The continental selection alone was superb and included hot croissants, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit including strawberries, a selection of cheeses and much much more. Followed by a superb and perfectly cooked full English breakfast.
The location is ideal for the channel tunnel and within walking distance from pubs and places to eat.
This wasn't just an overnight stay it was a luxurious experience at a very reasonable price. We will definitely stay here again next time we use the channel tunnel. A wonderful way to start a holiday.
