Awesome Stay
Geoff Con 03/07/2017 08:44Stayed 2 nights here when visiting the U.K. To play some cricket. It's a great venue in excellent condition with village pub charm. Accommodation upstairs is new fresh light and good value. My ensuite had a full size bath which was invaluable to recover after two consecutive days of cricket. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Meal portions are very generous as well. Don't forget to give Norma the Jack Russell a pat. Local shops are very convenient just a few minutes still up the road. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Inspector1on 15/06/2017 09:27A very pleasant place to stay. Business trip with overnight stay. Warm welcome. Free upgrade. Fine breakfast. and genial "mine host". If only I could have stayed longer! Highly recommended. I would happily return.

Courtney Mon 28/05/2017 21:08I stayed with two friends for a night. Super friendly staff. Spotless rooms. Great rates & to top it all off one of the girls working behind the bar gave us a lift to Effingham Junction after we ask her to book us a cab there. Can't recommend the Douglas Haig enough..
Great Pub
yottieon 15/05/2017 14:13I stayed here for one night and had a very good night's sleep. The room was spotlessly clean with nice white bed linen. My room faced the back of the hotel so was lovely and quiet. The bathroom was good with a powerful shower and nice shampoos etc. The staff were very nice and helpful.
I didn't stay for breakfast but other people staying there said it was excellent.
Highly recommended.
Great pub accommodation
Rowan Gon 01/05/2017 09:57Really comfy, clean rooms. Good spot in the middle of the village. Food was good. Staff were really friendly. There seemed to be a steady stream of locals in and out all evening which made for a good atmosphere.
