Nice, but....
Nick Mon 05/07/2017 17:01This is quirky little place. Old and not a great deal spent on redecoration which I think did add to its charm. It has a super central location. Our room was comfortable. The rooms are not all ensuite. The breakfast is small and basic.
But one point I have to mention. It seems to run on an extremely limited staff. We only ever saw one lady. We arrived at the hotel to locked doors and no response to the door bell. I looked at my phone to see if they had a phone number and saw that I had received an email from the hotel. This informed me of the door code, how to find to our room and enquired as to what time we would be having breakfast.
This does rather rely on foreign visits having their phones set to roaming and not waiting for wifi in the hotel to pick up their emails!
Budget but ok
Lcbton 31/05/2016 21:23Located in Rouen center. Small, primitive rooms. Ok clean. Wifi works. Very small bathrooms. Ok if you don't want to spend time in your room and want to save money. Kind service. Notice: reception has specific opening hours. No elevator and narrow old stairs.
Make sure you contact them before arriving
thermionictriodeon 16/05/2016 09:27The location of this hotel is excellent near to the centre of Rive Droite. The rooms are spacious but some of the decor is in need of renovating. Not all rooms are en suite. The breakfast is fine. Some points to note: there is no lift so if you have lots of luggage or difficulty using stairs this could be a problem for you. The reception is only open during certain hours, and not at all on Sunday afternoons. IMPORTANT if you plan to arrive when the reception is closed make contact first; they will tell you the door code and leave your room open with the key inside. There is free wifi which worked fine. Nearby public car parks are available (but they get full during peak times).
Good location, decent price, but not everyone's cup of tea.
MKevinMon 19/04/2016 22:08There's a thin line between quaintly charming and tiredly decrepit, and on which side Le Sisley falls probably depends upon your tastes. The ground floor is nice enough, but the wooden stairway and upstairs hallways haven't seen varnish since the Great War. Our room -- Turner -- was a bit cramped and faded, but the bathroom was quite roomy and plenty clean. However, we could only get Wifi by going down to the ground floor. Also, the front desk is only staffed mornings and after 4pm, so if you're arriving at some other time, it could be a problem. So some pluses, and some minuses.
Pretty Hotel in Normandy
Cindy1don 12/09/2015 22:24Stayed 2 nights in Le Sisley Hotel in Rouen and had a nice, comfortable stay.
The Manageress of the Hotel was very lovely and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. Very pretty place. Nice sized bathroom with a very french feel. Very close to everything in Rouen.
No lifts here though and stairs a little awkward if you have big luggage.
