What People are saying

Nice resort, good service, great WIFI, food OK

Eitanravon 18/06/2017 10:23

We stayed at this resort hotel for a weekend in June. The place is well located by the beach, with a private beach and several pools. The WIFI is free and works perfectly everywhere, and the rooms are nice and large. The food was very diversified, with a lot of different options, but it was not so tasty, mostly since it is a large hotel and not so muce a restaurant. Overall it is a good choice to stay in East Crete.

Great value!

This place was great value! Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks at the bar were all inclusive! The staff were professional and friendly. Plenty of car parking. Three swimming pools surrounded by sun lounges. Great dinning area with delicious food. The beach was within walking distance. Great value!

Incongruous for the location

Sitia is a lovely town on the northeastern coast of Crete and the Sitia Beach is considered the premier hotel in the area. I would say, I had a mixed stay with both negatives and positives.

The individual staff members were great, all of them went to great lengths to ensure our stay was comfortable. Special praise should be given to the spa staff for their efforts and I managed to get a nice treatment in on relatively short notice. All the facilities and the rooms had nice brand new fittings including the bathrooms. There is an onsite bar and restaurant serving buffet breakfasts and dinners. They have options for breakfast only and half board. It would appear the hotel is more of a resort catering to groups and tour packages.

Although my room #315 had a nice view of the sea, it didn't seem to be particularly airy and was bit dark even on a sunny day with the curtains drawn. The bathroom was tiny and one had a time getting into the shower stall as the door opening is incredibly narrow. I had a hard time sleeping because the beds were hard and uncomfortable and my partner suffered back strain probably as a result.

The hotel has three swimming pools but the deck chair layout had the chairs were packed together leaving very little for personal space. That said, there is good access to the beach from the hotel under the road. The hotel also owns deck chairs and umbrellas which makes going to the beach very convenient.

There is a breakfast buffet that is generally included in the stay. Although the food is OK, there are so many people eating there it's more like Grand Central Station during rush hour. There are lines four or five deep to help yourself to a cup of coffee and sometimes you could wait a while. It was also a hard time finding a place to sit because it was so busy and the staff appeared overwhelmed trying to keep up. Even though we had purchased half board, because of the breakfast experience we had never availed ourselves to the buffet dinner. We had gone into town to get a more relaxed dining atmosphere. I would like to suggest to extend breakfast hours to alleviate the overcrowding

The crowded atmosphere and the guests wearing different coloured wrist bands to help differentiate meal plans is very much reminiscent of a Last Vegas resort. As an independent, individual traveler I felt like I was treated like being part of a group rather than an individual. This is rather a paradox to the relaxed peaceful atmosphere of the town itself.

If you're an independent traveler and want a relaxing atmosphere, I would suggest going to the hotels closer to the centre of town and leave this place for the package tourists. I stayed here in May, I would not want to be here in August.

High Value Hotel

Delightful staff and surprises on arrival......orange juice and massage vouchers, and dinner which we never expected. The room was superb, modern, quiet, and very spacious. All services were top quality, and internet was excellent.

The bed was a bit firm and had we known a topper was available.....we didn't think to ask.

Dinner and breakfast were to the same high standard and very delicious.......a special thank you to all staff and mangement for a most enjoyable experience......!
