Clean, but very modest hotel
maricanison 27/06/2017 19:45Hotel is very, very modest, really not sure if it is for 3 stars.
Rooms are clean, but everything is old, and worn out. You even don't have hair dryer in room, but can ask on reception to borrow one.
Food for breakfast is exactly the same each day, and selection is not big.
Stuff mostly don't speak English, but will try to help you as much as they can.
Metro station and shopping center are close. Metro is very regular, every 5-7 min, and it takes approx 20m to reach the center of the Prague.
One very good thing, wi-fi is available in rooms, and has good quality
Would I go again there? Yes, if nothing better is available.
Cool
kantinicaon 24/06/2017 19:38I had great time there. It is a great hotel and most important - great quality for a small amount of money. Rooms are okay, breakfast is great and staff is polite. I would recommend it and will definitly visit again.
Filthy, stuffy & worn out room/bathroom! Unpleasant staff!
aus pon 05/06/2017 14:03Bathroom was not clean when we checked in! Bedding didn’t look much better either! I wouldn’t mind old furniture, but it bothered me for being filthy. ‘Smoking not allowed’ signs everywhere, but you could smell it and see burn marks on the furniture… No A/C in the room, very hot and stuffy! Towels haven’t been changed (4 nights stay!), only foot towel!(?) Lady on the reception was annoyed and bad mannered as we were asking for her assistance with the coins (to pay her for a tram tickets).
This hotel should not claim 3 stars!! If anything, this could be 2 star hostel!
3 star hotel or 1-2 star HOSTEL ?
licageorgeson 27/04/2017 07:55Ground-floor and first floor are a nightmare!... rooms with old furniture, bathroom very ugly and old staff inside, hole in the door (instead hangings), strange towels and laundry (very used), TV-set old and broked. We've got room 243 (first-floor), just near the stairs and we heard very clear inside every steps of other tourists. Also we had next to our room a closet with wash-machine and dryer machine!!... on the tourist's corridor!!... Normally this area should be away from tourist rooms (in the basement, for instance)... They used to wash and dry the laundry even after 22:30 and the noise was very consistent!... At last but not at least, this "hotel" (I would said better HOSTEL) has mostly groups of young athletes, who are very noisy, are visiting each-other at rooms, yelling on corridor, laughing, running, even late in the evening and early in the morning. I don't find ok to mix on the same corridor normal tourists with these young athletes groups. P.S. Floor 2 and 3 are renovated rooms, according to a 3 stars hotel... (we changed our room after 2 nightmare nights). Anyway...we could not have a proper rest due to same situation (noisy young group). Ho(s)tel Slavia should keep their specific only for groups of athletes !... and to charge different (lower price) for ground and first floor! ... About breakfast: same all, every 4 days stayed there. Wi-fi... could be betteer. From time to time, broke down. Reception staf : very nice, except receptionist-lady who welcome us!... very bored and unprofessional ! Advice: choose another hotel for staying! There are plenty in Praga, same price, without noisy sport groups on corridor!
Nice hotel for a good value
Kety_madon 22/02/2017 23:41For a low price you get clean, nice and spacious rooms with surprisingly nice bathrooms and a quiet good food. You can see a football field from your room :)
Not close to the center so you;ll have to use metro if going to the city.
In general, the place is affordable and nice to stay few nights..
