So bad it made me join TripAdvisors so others won't suffer
BSAdadon 06/06/2017 03:22Stayed at hotel based upon proximity to a lacrosse tournament and convenient location to shops + restaurants ...resist this temptation.
The rooms obviously have a mold problem based upon over powering smell and signs around seals, cracks. (Really surprised that the state health department has not been involve ...yes, it is that bad.)
Since the entire area was booked due to tournament, we had to stay. We did switch rooms but found the same scenario. Other team members staying at hotel reported the same. I am pretty sure we all could have taken up smoking and placed less risk on our health.
Beds were old, uncomfortable and pillows flat (both were probably bought used from Reagan's first term).
There was something sticky on the floor in the first room that grabbed our shoes (we covered it with a towel); needless to say, we wore shoes in the room.
Really, look at the reviews ...
Great Hotel
Caresalot_33on 26/05/2017 21:01We stayed at this hotel for one night. We were welcomed as soon as we entered by the front desk person, and we were able to early check in. The bed was soft and the room was clean. The free breakfast was great. Fully stocked with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and much more. We would definitely stay here again if we were in this area.
Budget hotel in the heart of Peachtree City
Jim Won 16/04/2017 15:08I stayed here probably 10 nights spread over 5 - 6 weeks, so I have a decent range of experience with this hotel. The main reason to stay here was that it was only $9 a night more than the Days Inn, it had a more central location (I could walk to a lot of restaurants and shops), and it has an interior hallway vs. your door opening directly onto the parking lot. If you are looking for lodging in PTC in the sub-$100/night range, this is probably your best option.
The free breakfast is fairly basic; it falls between the one at Days Inn and at Hampton Inn.
The free WiFi was okay, but not super-fast. It was along the lines of what the other hotels in the area had, though.
As I said above, location was good. This is connected to The Avenue shops. Those, in turn, connect via tunnels and bridges to the plaza just north across 54 and the plaza across the railroad tracks along 54. You can literally walk to probably 30+ restaurants without having to cross a road through traffic.
The staff was generally neutral to helpful. One time my refrigerator stopped working and the manager fiddled with the plug and got it back online. Another time, the desk clerk asked if he could accompany me to the room initially to ensure it had been cleaned properly (apparently there was an issue just that day with some of the housekeeping; my room was fine).
I had no particular issue with the room. It had sort of an 'old' smell in some rooms; not bad, but no really 'fresh'. The whole place looks like it could stand a deep-cleaning of the carpets, especially the hallways.
I would also recommend a room at the back of the hotel. The exterior lighting scheme in use at this hotel is pretty bright. My first room made me feel like I might get a call from a hostage negotiator once the floodlights came on in the evening. They have blackout curtains, but those can only do so much. If you like it dark for sleeping, a room on the back side (and probably the 2nd floor) will suit you better.
You can certainly stay in nicer places in PTC, but you'd pay a lot more. If you're on a budget and aren't too picky, this place will suffice.
Good value
Jim Hon 21/03/2017 02:16The front desk was friendly and efficient. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. The breakfast area was spacious and well stocked. I think this is a very nice place to rest your head, good for singles couples and families.
Now the negative.... the toilet lid would not stay up.. kind of essential for family peace. The shower door would not close. The desk chair was broken and way past its expiration date. A comfortable chair is a MUST. ROOM 221
No Hot Water
LOUK194on 19/03/2017 05:07NO hot water for morning showers. Told manager, Yvonne about the issue and she got rather defensive and was rude saying that she had never heard of such a problem. She wanted to go to room 2+ hours after showers had been taken to verify that there was no hot water. We had not yet vacated room so i told her it would be a few minutes before she could check on the issue. When I went back to let her know we were out of the room, she had disappeared so issue was never resolved to my knowledge.
