My husband and I have traveled for years, staying in hundreds of different hotels, after having our 2 daughters, we didn't stop traveling..We just brought them with us! This hotel is very accommodating to our family of 4! If we have needed anything for our stay, they have helped us! The general manager (Geraldine), front desk supervisor (Mike), Breakfast Attendant (Bertha), Evening shift front desk supervisor (Melissa)...and MULTIPLE other hotel staff have been fantastic! They make traveling away from home much easier! We will continue to stay here when we are in the area! Love this hotel :-)

We really weren't expecting much of this visit, given the very reasonable rates and the fact that when I called and made the reservation they didn't take a credit card to secure the reservation, didn't issue an email confirmation or anything like that. It was like the old days.
Our room was very, very clean, smelled fresh, nothing looked used, abused or worn. The linens were fresh and crisp, the mattresses comfortable, the bathroom facilitles very clean. The wifi is free and our room had both a microwave and a fridge. To be honest, we never turned on the TV, but it was a large screen model. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Our only disappointment was the free breakfast. To be specific, the sausage and eggs were always hot, but tasted like they came out of a box and simply heated up prior to being put out. The assortment of bagels and pastries was good, the yogurt good, and there was a waffle iron there hot and ready. The beverage offerings were water, apple and orange juice, hot water, decaf and regular coffee and tea bags. The room was clean and didn't smell like old breakfast, if you know what I mean.
I can very well recommend this hotel for your visit.

The front desk people sure went the extra mile for my wife and me. We pre-booked
a month in advance for two nights with a special rate which did not allow for any
cancellations. We had some travel issues so I called the motel and told them that we
would not be able to make it for the first night but please keep us in the system for the
second night. I mentioned the "special rate" and understood the consequences. I was told that if I called the booklng agency that I could possibly still get a refund.
Sure enough!! A huge thank you to Melissa and Geraldine for going the extra mile.
The room and everything in it was great. If you are looking for a very clean motel at
a reasonable price - here it is!!!

3 and 1/2 stars. I'm not quite as high on this as other reviewers. It was off the beaten path and pretty quiet and the beds were comfortable. There are 2 floors and if you don't want to hear people walking above you then take the 2nd floor but be aware there's no elevator (which we were told up front at check in). They keep coffee and store bought cookies in the lobby-a nice touch. Breakfast was the same both days:sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy. Waffle maker and bread/bagels for toasting. The rooms are crowded. There is no clearance between the bed and desk unless the person at the desk gets up and moves. Bathroom is quite small and a strange shower but w good pressure and hot water. Microwave and refrigerator and coffee pot which is on too small sink counter. What I didn't like was the semi trucks outside the windows of the room starting the engines at various times of the night. Having said that personnel was friendly

As a few have commented here, we too needed a place to stay that was halfway between Ohio and North Carolina and the Beckley-Beaver WV area was it. I booked this hotel mainly based on it's excellent reviews, but the price point is also perfect, and they still have smoking rooms available!
Rest assured that you can believe the reviews about it. It's clean, updated enough, the beds are comfortable and really kinda if "luxe" actually, rooms have microwave and fridge, which is always a must have for us, and the area is extremely safe-feeling. Many dining options just down the road a few miles, so all good there too! For breakfast, if you don't want the hotel fare, I highly recommend Biscuit World across the street at the gas station, lol. Bacon biscuit was amazing and yummy, believe it or not!
We stayed here 2 different nights in one weekend - once headed south to our vacation spot in NC, and then again coming back home to Ohio. Glad I found this place because we'll be making lots of future scouting trips to NC looking for our ideal place to relocate, and I'll always stay here as long as they still provide the smoking room option! So sick of my boyfriend being treated like a 2nd class citizen who should not be afforded a place to stay like the rest of the (highly judgmental) world just because they feel superior as non-smokers! Keep up the good work on being all- inclusive Sleep Inn Beaver/Beckley, and see you in October on our already- booked next trip!
