What People are saying

Great location, nice hotel

Suzanne Ron 20/07/2017 18:24

Depending on what you are looking for, this is a few miles from the Interstate, but ohhh so worth it. Great location near lots of food options and activities. Nice breakfast, and we appreciate that it is pet friendly with a walking area.

College orientation for daughter

edwinacoxmosson 18/07/2017 23:57

We were in your beautiful city of Aiken to register our daughter for orientation at USC Aiken. We really enjoyed our stay. Jerri and Debra from housekeeping were very helpful and really made our pet feel comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

Southern Hospitality at its finest! One week of perfection.

Michelle_Haleyon 21/06/2017 23:32

My family stayed at Sleep Inn Aiken for a week in June.

We all had not expected much to be honest. Being a low cost and a more budget minded chain, we were only expecting a decent bed and a little privacy, lol!
WOW. What an amazing gem this hotel is!

I dont even know where to start....

EXCEPTIONAL service from the front desk , the manager, the housekeeping staff and the breakfast ladies. Friendly southern hospitality! They all answered our million questions about the town, gave advise on food , real estate and the like. Patience was above par! SO incredible friendly, I was immediately happy I chose this hotel for our stay.

Every night when we would return we were offered fresh baked cookies or popcorn or even a beer! On the house! Breakfast was always up and running before the stated time, and fully stocked with hot and cold items.

Our room was always clean, everything functioned as expected. A Refrigerator we stocked from the CVS across the way, a microwave, iron and blow dryer all supplied in room. The Walmart was across the street as well. It was so incredibly handy to pickup things we needed, and this hotel is surrounded by every type of food place imaginable! Outstanding location!

I was nervous about some patrons complaining of insects and other cosmetic issues but we had a 100% bug free stay all week long, and that's a feat in the Carolinas, lol. I have stayed in Los Angeles, NYC and Vegas frequently and for this incredible value this is an awesome little hotel in a magical historical city.

When I travel I try to make a point of acknowledging and praising service and people that make a difference. Here in Aiken's Sleep Inn, I'd like to say a special thank you to a beautiful front desk gem Tammy... shes kind loving and and every bit what a company would want in an employee...not one person went by her desk without feeling that down home hospitality this girl shows, we LOVED her! The GM ... wow! Now thats a manager! Raz, a sterling example of how to run a tight ship and make her business feel like a home and family. Raz you are incredible and if only we could clone you to run hotels everywhere I would be the happiest girl ever. Raz is what I could only dream all managers would be.

I cant not give a special shout out of love to the early morning 5:30 breakfast girls that put up with me during my stay...Laverne and "Z", both hard working women so early in the morning with a smile and "Good Morning" to every single one of us, NEVER a bad mood...standing ovation ladies...love ya Laverne.

I am planning a return trip to find property and Sleep Inn will now be my home away from home.... kudos Raz, see you again.

After 5 years we are not retuning

I normally get 2 rooms for a couple of nights for a family reunion. I've been doing this for the past 5 years. Let me start off by saying that the cleaning staff are magnificent. But the condition of the hotel is in decline. We started noticing this last year but wanted to give it another chance. We did and will not be back.

We killed a coach roach in our bathroom. One of my other family members killed one in the bed with them. The pool area is not safe or clean. A sign is sticking out that could easily cut a child if they ran by it. There is an electrical plate on a light pole that was out of place and exposed electrical wires just a couple of feet from the pool. Unsafe for a small child that could stick their hand it it. The pool deck was littered with bird poop and cigarette butts that had been there for a day or so. The tables and chairs at pool side are worn and frayed. The badge reader by the back door to the pool was broken and everyone including hotel staff would put a rock in the door to keep it open allowing unfettered access to anyone.

Again the cleaning staff are very good and the rooms were in good shape apart from the cockroaches.

Wosrt of the worst

I want to report avery bad experience at the Sleep Inn in Aiken, South Carolina. I went there on the April 1, 2017, at approximately 1655 hours for a room. The were two ladies (Raz and Chubyby white lady) at the counter. The chubby white lady gave me a room. I went to the room (220) and there were clothes all over the room. I decided not to enter as I did not know as if there were foul play or I could caught the person or persons in a compromising position. Totally unacceptablable. I was given another room in 107. But it did not end there. The room look cleaned until I went and took a shower. There were mold and mild around the shower head and faucet. Also dust on the refrigerator and you could write your name there clearily. It is obvious this place needed an upkeep. The next morning I down for breakfast and it was less than desirable. There were a numerous of young kids due to a basketball tournament. The two ladies who worked the area was totally disrespectful. Walking betwqeen the youngsters without saying excuse trying to replenish with egss and sausages. Well upon checkout, I stood there for approximately 30 minutes while the other female staff tried to accommodate another person in checking out. She was having much difficulty in her duties. As a person working for the federal goverment for over 36 years either with Deparment of Justice or Department of Defense, she were defintely incompetent as I have performed duties in this area. I guess it is the best they can do. There were another guy (Indian guy) who later identified himself as the manager. He seen me standing there about 8 feet behind the other person who was trying to check out. The reason for me standing farther back as I could hear some of his personal information. Not once did he (the manager) ask me if I needed any assistance as he was on his cell phone, the computer, or the receptionist telephone. In fact, he gave me a disgusted look. The other guy in the line said I could go to the other line. First, another man can not speak for another man especially not for me. Second, it is not his repsonbility but that is the manager. If other person noticed me standing there so should the manager as I was in the vicinity of hotel receptional area. Now as soon as a white couple came in the area, the Indian guy immediately ask if they needed anything. The white male pointed to me as he knew I was in line. Of course, I stepped up and ask if he had a problem. I almost lost all of my professionalism I learned over the years working in the federal government as a law enforcement officer. I requested he called the police and he declined. Yes I am a black man and never use race as an excuse but too many times people pre-judge many of the young African Americans. This is how many are treated. I am reporting it because he could have gotten ugly. He assumed I was average Joe and believe he could treat me any way he felt like. As soon as I brought my friend on the inside who happen to be white then he was being apologetlc. By the way I am a veteran of two wars who have done more this country than this guy could have imagined. I want more and more people to report any injustice regardless of the gender, the race, or culture. In closing, I thank my God I am a change person.
