sandip_mallikon 25/08/2015 10:05Was visiting a friend in Fuzhou. I was supposed to stay at their hotel in Changshan but landed up wrongly booking this one. Stayed one night before switching hotels.
The lady at the reception did not know how to block an international credit card. My friend had to come to the rescue by giving her local Chinese card for the deposit. Although I wanted a non smoking room but the room I got had an ash tray and was smelling of smoke. The window was open to probably diffuse the smoke smell.
A call girl card had been slipped thru the door, just in case!
At breakfast people were lighting up cigarettes in a restaurant with no windows or ventilation. The chef did not know a word of English. I asked for a fork. I got a blank stare, then a big smile. Not sure what he heard me say. Hope he wasn't thinking of the "special" room service that that card had to offer!
Don't ever stay here..
IdeFix28on 21/10/2013 15:43The only good sides: the hotel's location (next to a shopping mall complex with shops and restaurants) and the room's mattresses are quite comfortable.
The negatives:
1. NO WAY a 4-stars-hotel
I booked the hotel with booking.com (they rated the hotel as a 4-stars and from the photos, they looked like a good decent hotel). It turned out completely shocking. It was a maximum 2-stars with dark, dirty and outdated hallways, carpets, and room. We also found a peanut shells from previous guest next to our bed.
The staffs speak no word of English.
2. A Classic Dodgy Hotel Story
Came as a family, we were very surprise to be welcomed with a basket full of condoms on our nightstand!!! Well, I understand that it is maybe necessary for promoting health and AIDS prevention, but come on, can they please put them a bit discreetly! As a family we found it very disrespectful. Add to our nightmare, somebody slipped a call girl business card under our room door!
Under any circumstances, we will never come to this hotel again and will never recommend this hotel to a respectable person..
