Excellent hotel with superb sleeping comfort
Matth-t-Son 14/07/2017 11:59I like to mention first that I had a very pleasant welcome from the check-in receptionist: very friendly, professional and well done.
The room was spacious and clean. I did not pay special attention to the bed but when I went to sleep at night, I was surprised with the comfort. Especially the pillows were amazingly soft, fluffy and comfortable. I was lucky to stay two nights and enjoyed the comfort again.
Sofitel seems to market their sleeping comfort; something I noticed from their leaflets. For me a reason to go back next time. So few really pay attention to the beds and linen, whereas it is an important aspect of your stay. Highly recommended only for this reason.
A great stopover location.
Nelly59CRon 11/07/2017 23:36My wife and I regularly stopover at the Sofitel Luxembourg Europe when driving from the UK to Switzerland. Being a little way out of the middle of the city, the hotel is easily accessible from the A1 on the Avenue John F Kennedy and had plenty of parking (ourdoor or indoor, although I believe you have to pay for the indoor parking).
Even though the hotel is a little way out of the city, it's only about a twenty minute walk away and there are also lots of bars and restaurants to the East of the hotel on the Avenue John F Kennedy.
The rooms are spacious, smart and well equipped and I still maintain that the beds are amongst the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The buffet breakfast is excellent.
With the friendly and efficient staff, we love staying in this hotel and can't wait to have the opportunity to stay there again.
Good location
MrPhileasFon 25/06/2017 12:58If you are spending a weekend in Luxembourg then Sofitel Europe is a good location. It is located in the Europe part of town with all the EU institutions.There are plenty of buses to take you into town and it is either €2 for 2 hours or €4 for a dayticket unless it is a Saturday and then it is free. The bus to the town centre take about 10 minutes and if you want to walk it is about half an hour. You also have the museum of modern art next door if you fancy some culture. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport and a taxi costs about €35 or bus 16 will take you there for €2. The hotel lobby is small but with an open round atrium all the way to the top of the hotel, and there plenty of seating as well as a small business centre on the side. The hotel has three restaurants and a bar on the first floor atrium level. The bar has an excellent selection of both wine and whisky and the prices are reasonable. The restaurants are good but on the pricey side, however breakfast is extortionate at €56. The restaurant options are limited though unless you go either in to town or up to the shopping centre which is about a 20 minute walk, having said that you can try the Novotel restaurant next door or Melia across the road. The gym is located on the 3rd floor, it is quite small for the hotel size.
The rooms are big and well designed with a good working desk, however there are no power sockets at the bed or by the desk which is a big drawback with the hotel. The bathroom is a good size and has a separate toilet and nice amenities as well as a very comfortable bathrobe. There are plenty wardrobes and storage space as well as a safe, Nespresso machine and kettle and a minibar which is free for platinum members. All in all a good hotel, but make sure breakfast is included in the rate.

I would recommend this hotel if you have business in Luxembourg or even a night stop on your Euro Trip.
The beds are super comfy at this Sofitel Hotel.
Wonderful hotel near the European Parliament
Moira Ton 21/06/2017 19:31The Sofitel Europe is about 12 minutes from the airport, and convenient to the businesses in the area, the arena and the Parliament. The common areas are beautiful. My room was large, with House of Lanvin toiletries, 2 bathrobes and delicious teas and an electric kettle. The breakfast was magnificent. There were hot items, breads and pastries, yogurts and a toppings bar, cheeses, hams and desserts of different kinds. The coffee was strong and delicious. I will definitely stay here again.
