kennethpouncyon 07/05/2017 00:27The Sofitel Malabo is full of attractive African art which is very pleasing to the eye. The grounds are well kept, bringing a sense of tranquility to hotel guests. The staff is very professional, supremely courteous and absolutely exceptional in every way. The Sofitel Malabo has some of the best staff and concierge services I have ever experienced at any hotel. I would like to give honorable mention to the front desk staff. The front desk staff made me feel at home and welcome during my entire stay. They really took great care of me. The gentlemen who assisted me with my luggage were very friendly and courteous, always greeting me with a smile. The ladies in the dining area met all of my dining requests and were very friendly. Room service for my evening meal was absolutely delightful with an equally delightful and attractively displayed buffet in the dining area. My room was very beautiful and comfortable. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job of preparing my room throughout my stay. Overall, the Sofitel Malabo is a model hotel which is undoubtedly the best in all of Africa. Guests are surely to be treated to the best of everything as the Sofitel Malabo and its staff are very impressive. Guests will surely not be disappointed. Enjoy the luxury and comfort of Sofitel Malabo.
The best experience I have ever had at a hotel
Edward Ton 25/04/2017 22:45And to think I almost didn't stay here it would have been the biggest mistake ever. I'm an American citizen that decided to travel to Malabo Equatorial Guinea for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel I chose. Besides the great room & room service I received , the staff there were a 10/10 the best staff I have ever encountered. The front clerk Jordy was great he saw to all of my accommodations and even showed me around the city on his off time. If I would have not chosen this hotel I would have not experienced Central Africa the way I did. I received free transport to and from the Airport and also shuttled to the city for shopping........
P.S did I mention that as soon as Jordy discovered it was my birthday, the entire staff surprised me with a Birthday song, and cake (It was the best part of the trip & the closest thing I have had to a surprise party in my life) .. Also the food was great and it's a great location to explore Malabo right across the street from the historic Santa Isabel Cathedral
My heart will stay in Sofitel President Malabo forever!
Gustavo Ron 14/04/2017 08:46It sounds like a love story, and my two experiences with the Sofitel Malabo President are just that! T travel a lot and stay in many hotels, but this is a special one. With plenty of experiences in 5 start hotels with no charm/no warm, I ended up at Sofitel and from the picking at the Airport by Romualdo, to the warm welcome from Jordi, Nicanora, and so many special staff that will take me hours to list here...
There is something magic in this hotel and I am sure is the genuine warm human treatment found in every corner of this fascinating building.
I feel I am part of the Sofitel Malabo family. Not a foreigner, not just a client with a reservation number.
Fond memories at the bar celebrating the impossible triumph of Barcelona one day and Real Madrid next day. Add a perfect mojito with freshly farmed mint to the excitement, to the blues of missing home, or just to add something to the "tiras de pescado".
Finish the week with the pool party and you will regret leaving the hotel for any reason. I will have the opportunity to return to the hotel that I declared my home in Malabo.

Dreamy stay at Sotifel Malabo Hotel.. Truly Amazing
AgnesWhiteon 30/01/2017 21:32I went for the first time to Malabo with my bf, and I could not have chosen a better place to stay.
First and foremost, the reception was impeccable! The people were very nice, funny and professional. The room was glamorous and very confortable. The breakfast offered a varied array of great and delicious food. The location was suitable for the majority of points of interest I wanted to visit.
Again, I could not have chosen a better place to stay.
The Airport Shuttle didn't Show Up!!!!!
Mame Soce Son 25/01/2017 11:46The first impression wasn't great since the airport shuttle did not show up, in spite of the fact that I called at least three times to confirm. This was made worse by the fact that I arrived late, around 11pm. checking in took way too long because they couldn't find my reservation and the person responsible for online reservation wasn't on duty. I was finally given a room with no toiletries and had to request another room. The hotel is nice but the rooms are a bit old. The WiFi is spotty and the phone doesn't work well. I had to go to the reception to order room service. They charged me $US 47 to take me to the airport at 5:00 A.M.
It is advertised as a luxury hotel but the quality of service doesn't follow suit.
