My room was like the doorman's room
hk-trekkeron 19/01/2017 14:59I was given a tiny room with no room number when all other rooms has numbers. My door was very small compared to others. I really stayed in the dorman's room. Nice top viewing room of neighborhood. Very old but amazingly scary elevator.
Great view of skyline (and starlings)!
Mike Won 14/12/2016 14:45Stayed two nights. Was ok getting up 4 floors with backpack in small elevator. Would be tricky for those with lots of baggage.
Room small but comfortable, although even on 4th floor the traffic can be noisy.
On top floor you can watch the amazing starlings(?) show at sundown!
Great location for train and airport bus, and main city sites and restaurants
Convenient location, common refrigerator available
merlaineon 07/10/2016 02:25Great budget hotel right near train station, easy walk to the Duomo. It was very quiet when we were there (late Sept), clean, with a comfortable bed. (Unlike a previous reviewer, we didn't smell any bad smells, nor did we encounter any homeless people.) One touch I appreciated was free drinking water in the hallway (Culligan or similar). It's a small hotel and not staffed all night.
Great place, Great Location
Ripitup2014on 20/07/2016 16:26Close to the main railway station and close to the main part of the old town. Pleasant and friendly staff, clean large rooms, some rooms have a balcony. Old stifle lift to the hotels floor. Very secure. Was allowed to leave bags there after we checked out. They even left us a rose and bubbly for our anniversary, a nice touch and unexpected.
Good location
Arjen_Arjenon 06/07/2015 16:03The best feature of the hotel is its location: near the train and bus station. Shuttle bus from the airport drops you off about 5 minutes walking from the hotel. The highlights of Florence (Duomo, Bell tower, Battistero) are located about 10-15 minutes away from the hotel.
Checkin is on the 2nd floor and the rooms are on the 4th. The elevator has a mind of its own and sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Especially when there are more than 2 people in this tiny thing, it mostly doesn't.
The room and towels we had were clean. The bed was very good: not too soft, not too hard; perhaps a bit short for anyone who's 6ft plus. The airconditioning was able too cool the place enough to make it comfortable (outside 40 degrees Celsius)...
Staff at the desk was friendly.
Breakfast is optional and costs 5Euro p.p..
At 82Euro per night not cheap, but reasonably priced.
