Great location
maureeng06on 15/10/2016 08:31Lovely room with en suite and fridge in room. Central to all major attractions. Theatre just across the road. Had voucher for breakfast at OK bar round the corner which was really nice. Lovely ristorante nearby Zio Gigi in via folco portinari. Massimo is a lovely guy and welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Noah is his 12 year old lab and is so adorable. Would stay again. Thank you.
The perfect place to stay if you want to visit Florence's main attractions on a budget.
Maria60827on 03/10/2016 15:44My husband and I went to Florence for a few days to visit my sick brother who 's being living in Florence for more than 25 years. He's the one who recommended this particular hotel being near the apartment where he lives.
I've read other people's reviews before I booked it. To be honest, I was a little perplexed of the reviews I read, but booked it anyway being, like I said before, near my brother.
Some reviews mentioned dirty floors and dirty bathrooms. Well I found nothing of such a thing. The place was immaculate. The bathroom was really clean and we found not one but two setts of clean towels. The sheets were clean and the bed was very comfortable.
I would like to say something to those people who wrote not such good reviews about this hotel. What do you expect with the price you pay? You have all the main attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The price is excellent considering that you are in the center of everything and not to mention the courtesy of the owner who went above and beyond to make our staying as comfortable as possible. If you want white gloves service go to a five star hotel and pay $500 a night.
If I ever visit Florence again, I will definitely book the same hotel.
Good location needs cleaning
DanzelMalta_Europeon 30/06/2016 20:29Location is perfect. Massimo the owner is very nice and helpful however the cleaner needs a telling as floor was really dirty, our feet were black if we stayed barefooted. The towels are only changed after two days and if you put them on the floor for cleaner to take and exchange she/he will hang them back for you. Toilet paper had to be asked for and on our last day no soaps were placed. The ac was not working one evening after a hot day out . Had to ask Massimo to fix the problem which he did straight away (had a night without ac). We specifically asked for a good working fridge due to medicine however the fridge was really dirty and filthy. I cleaned it with antiseptic wipes put certain dirt didn't even go off. I am sure the fridge hasn't been cleaned for quite a long time. There is no reception and if you need something you have to call Massimo from your own cellphone at a foreign rate if you are not a local so we used to send him an email. Will not stay again if visiting Florence even though place is close to everything.
Dirty Bathroom/Great Location
Rosie_duarteon 18/06/2016 15:16I stayed in this place in June of this year. Massimo was great and helpful, but the bathroom smells really bad and seems has not been cleaned in a long time. The room was "fixed" the following day but the bed sheets were not changed nor were the towels. The same towel we used for the floor was hanged back as cleaned even though it had stains from the dirty bathroom floor. There was only one little soap for the entire stay. There is no elevator so the luggage has to be taken up and down one floor. There is a hospital nearby and you can hear the ambulance back and forth.
I would not recommendbthis place because the smell from the bathroom gets to the entire room and it was really dirty.
March in Florence
Dmitrij Von 14/03/2016 19:25Very good Italian-style B&B. A little bit dark (but this is an old building) but spacious (we had a triple room) and very cosy. Excellent location and pleasant stuff.
I will strongly recommend these apartments.
We had no breakfast. But there was a kitchen for additional 10 euro per day.
