bad experience
Susan Ron 28/10/2016 17:38On arrival were told that although we booked for 4 nights only the day before we could only stay 3 nights and would be moved to another hotel for 4th night. Told this was due to room being "****" (quoting the owner here!).
The room was very basic. Had no light in bathroom and an ancient tv which did not work which had numerous tangled electic cables coming from it strewn across floor. Informed reception and they 'sorted it out' by putting a bedside lamp in bathroom ! ! ! SO MUCH FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY! also sorted the tv so that we could just get one TV station that only showed James Bond dubbed in Italian!
We heard at least 2 other sets of people complaining about their rooms and one which grew to be a huge shouting match between owner and customer!
Breakfast buffet style and very basic using longlife products
Also the window to our room looked out onto breakfast area where people were eating so no daylight at all and not private!
We were moved on last night to hotel up the road and could not book into that until 2pm in afternoon even though we left this b and b at 10 in morning! VERY INCONVIENIENT AND WASTED ALOT OF TIME WHEN WE ONLY WENT FOR SHORT BREAK
Fleas in my bed and rude administrators!!!
Lilí Gon 30/09/2016 13:39I found fleas/bed buggs (full of blood) in my pillow the night we arrived. I called the administrators and 5 women arrived. They softly blamed us from bringging the buggs allegating they never had this problem before (total lie!!, later, in booking.com I found a comment from 2015 complaining about bedbuggs!). They accepted to take us to another hotel for that night (I guess they were affraid we would alert the other guests) and promised to find another place for us to stay the next 2 nights. That didn't happen. The next day, after hours fighting with the administrators (by phone because they didn't even showed up in the hostel) they accepted to give our money back after discounting the first night. Not even the complete amount!!
In summary, they gave us a room full of fleas and then kicked us out from the hotel without helping us to find another place. An not even an apology. Terrible experience and terrible service from those women. And the cherry in the cake: we complained in the hotel's guest book and the administrators wrote me nasty emails threatening to take legal actions against slander. The worst experience ever.

Grigoras Con 26/09/2016 13:46Good location and the people are friendly and helpful !!! Very professional staff and we enjoy staying there! Is very pleasant to serve breakfast ...or a bottle of wine in the evening, on this terrace! The room was clean and cozy, a bit noisy from the street , but overall we have a great time there!

AntMorettion 12/09/2016 23:19Room was spacious and clean,our private bathroom was accross the hallway (not a big deal as we only stayed one night).Located 20 mins walk distance from Santa Maria Novella Station.Very quite place as no shops around.We particularly enjoyed the top floor "terrazza" where a very nice and abundant breakfast was served.Staff very friendly and helpful.I would recommend it,if you are looking for value for money.
Horrible Accommodations, good location
Haley Mon 24/12/2015 20:24Our room had no internet, no working AC, and was a basic bones room. The room was not cleaned daily and was dirty as well. Management has turned over clearly since the reviews from the summer. This place is a dump and the person working the front desk was anything but pleasant. Would not recommend at all!
