Kerala has tropical climate and remains pleasant for most of the year About My Family We two are the only occupants in Somasree and both of us belongs to traditional and educated family in Thiruvananthapuram. I am a retired Personal from Public Health Department of Government, aged 66. I am fluent in good English and more indian langauges. My wife is a homemaker and she is a good host. She is educated, and fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam. Somasree homestay is a home away from your home to remember. Facilities It is a newly constructed building with all modern amenities under strict supervision of a qualified retired civil engineer. The walls are built with dressed natural rock. The building consists of ground 2 upper floors. All rooms are well lighted and ventilated. There are four bed rooms, one spacious kitchen, and two big halls one sit-out and work area. All bed rooms are attached with spacious bathrooms. Beside there is a common bathroom also. Regular yoga class conducted A/C provided in two rooms. Master bedroom has a beautiful Balcony. Broadband internet connectivity is provided along with cable TV The doors stair case railings and paneling are hand carved by traditional carpenters on forest teak wood. A roofed terrace garden provided is ideal for yoga and meditation, and also can enjoy city`s Greenery. Twenty-four hour hot and cold water supply is provided in all bathrooms.

One night comfortable stay for family
sangeetha son 12/05/2017 06:13We visited trivandrum for just a night with 2 kids and a baby sitter. Mr and Mrs . Soman were very helpful in extending their hospitality and allowed us to use their kitchen. We were able to make food for the babies. Very child friendly and clean, well maintained and highly recommendable hosts. We were very happy staying there and would suggest the place without second thoughts to anybody visiting trivandrum.

travellercarol_13on 21/03/2017 10:31I booked this based on the reviews and I am so glad that I did. Right from the taxi being at the airport to the second I left it was a wonderful experience. Soman helped me organise my time by suggesting places to visit, getting me tuk-tuks and booking trips for me. It truly is a family experience with his wife making totally delicious food (the best I had on the entire trip) and even his nephew using his day off to take me to Poovar and introduce me to the area south of Thiruvananthapuram. This was the best introduction to Kerala I could have had.

We were on two days trip to Trivandrum. Chose to stay at "Somasree" after seeing reviews. The reviews proved true. Kind of Mr. Soman to come and pick us from Pettah station. A neat place with friendly people. Ms. Shakuntala Soman Always smiling treated us with delicious food. She packed chapathis with nice subji for our train journey. Would like to stay there if we happen to visit Trivandrum again.

My only reason to decide for a home stay , was to treat my taste buds to authentic, home cooked kerala cuisine, and boy I was! Thanks to Mr and Mrs Soman for their hospitality.
Down to earth couple, it was a like visiting my paternal grand parents house-the wood work exquisite, yester years' chairs, cot and swing on the terrace. Comfy,
congenial and homely!
Didnt get to see places around, except the Kovalam beach, had to attend a wedding and head back to work.
5 min drive to Intl airport and 20 min drive to domestic.
I hope Mr.Soman fixes the bathroom faucet. Ditch the directory, reach out to Mr.Soman -he has all info in his finger tips.
