Don't waste your time
keithb1987on 23/10/2017 14:02look I'll start of by saying it's in a good spot away from the Kaos if you want to just relax and unwind. but that's where the positives end. The place is extremely run down with dirty furnishings and fixtures. The pools are terribly dirty and staff are extremely hard to deal with. We had a expensive pair of swim wear stolen from inside our locked room when we were out? And could never resolve the issue with staff just pleading ignorance. All in all I would rather sleep on the side of the road rather than waist my money at this terrible resort.. Very unsatisfying
Beach visit at Son Tra Resort and Spa
Viktor Ron 25/08/2017 02:31Yesterday we were searching for an beach near Hoi An. After a long trip we arrived at Monkey Mountain Da Nang. We couldn't find a beach with sunbeds so we went to Son Tra Beach Resort and asked the reception if it's possible to use their own private beach. For an lunch and drinks we were aloud. Great luxury place to enjoy your day at the beach.
Secluded resort on beautiful beach.
tigerjhb2017on 03/08/2017 09:50We have just enjoyed a lovely 5 days at the Son Tra Resort & Spa. It's located on the Son Tra peninsular just past the Lady Buddha. It has a beautiful secluded beach with views looking back towards Da Nang and the mountain forests behind. The sea is great for swimming - clean and very warm.
It's quiet and relaxing - perfect for a few days R&R. The villas are huge and we stayed in one on the beachfront with its own pool. They could do with a lick of paint but are more than comfortable. The Spa was good and good value. The food is simple but tasty and very reasonably priced. The bar / restaurant could do with a little paint and bit of love and attention but the staff more than make up with their warm welcome and great service. I'm sure we will be heading back in the future.
Very poor service and food
Sarah Kon 28/07/2017 02:49This hotel was not worth half the money we paid. The beach is pretty nice and the villas are very spacious, but service is horrible and food is terrible. The spa and housekeeping apparently closed/left at 5. There were bugs in the bathtub. In the middle of the night someone shined a flashlight into our bedroom. I do not recommend!!!!

We arrived yesterday around 12:30 pm, at the reception we were told to pay cash, as the machine was inoperative. I said we don't have enough cash, so please fix the machine. My wife asked if they sell cigarettes. They lady behind the desk said take the free shuttle bus and go to town (Da Nang) to get cigarettes. Nice customer service to start with. We found cigarettes next door at fish restaurant next to the resort. Internet was not working at the villa, the entire stay we were there. Asked twice for maintenance personnel, but they were unable to fix the problem. Also the name Ocean view villa, is deceiving as we had no Ocean view at all (room 202). The villa is outdated and needs a serious upgrade, the outdoor shower bath and shower needs to be high pressure hosed, because of all the algae on the wall. The beds were Oke to sleep in. Generally the villa is so big, it actually misses charm. In the evening we ordered food for the kids. My daughter ordered tomato soup, they arrive with potato soup. Staff had no idea the difference between tomato and potato. Sounds almost the same, but completely different. However they were not embarrassed to charge 50000 VND on the bill as service charge (they brought the food to the villa). The breakfast was Oke, but below standard for the price you have to pay to stay there.
We couldn't wait to check out and raced to Hoi An were we have a decent and much cheaper place to stay. For 278 US dollars a night, this place (son tra resort) is a rip off.
One good thing, the location is amazing! They could make this place a gold mine, if they put way more effort in it. Tip: First start giving excellent service to your guests, so at least they feel welcome. All the best.
