Good for a short stay
Orator4Lifeon 06/07/2017 10:40A good place for a short stay. About a 30 minute drive from the main city of Zurich. The rooms were adequately sized and neat. We had a portable fan in the room which helped us cool of as we were there in summer.
The bath tub was a bit high, so getting in and out was a bit tricky, and can also get slippery...need to be careful with kids.
Needs investment

On the whole a little disappointed with the experience
I needed to iron a couple of shirts And the iron I was given was apparently known to be faulty and blew the power in my room
The attendant then informed me I knew the "risk " on this particular iron!! ( I didn't)
Room was big enough but the beds (twin singles) were very small
Having arrived after 10 to find only a packet of crisps available for dinner made the first night pretty lousy to be honest,
Having said that the lady on the reception in the morning was a joy very helpful and happy and had a working iron waiting for me on my return
That evening the waiter was equally pleasant and helpful with a great recommendation for a local Swiss red wine
On the whole most of the team were great but the hotel lacks investment making their job more difficult than it needs to be. Without them I would have suggested avoiding at all costs .
Good hotel at reasonable price
Sebastiano Con 21/10/2016 22:33Hotel is good, breakfast is great, room has plenty of space. Bathroom has bath tube with shower, a bit slippery. Hotel has a very good restaurant too. There's a wellness area (which I did not try, unfortunately) and underground parking, both included in room rate. Wi Fi very fast. Only negative aspect is bedm, which is not confortable: spring mattress, very bad. Restaurant staff very nice and gentle, even if not all of them speak/understand English.
Friendly staff but rooms need improvement
Sanjay Von 12/10/2016 19:09We stayed here for 2 nights. Room was not too spacious and beds not so comfortable. Window in our room was broken and there was lot of noise from outside as it's close to roads. Even in bathroom basin sink had a problem. However, breakfasts were good and service was fine too. Location is good as it's close to Zurich and Lucerne is an hour's drive at max.
Best hotel of our Europe tour
ankeet_sinhaon 02/10/2016 22:49Sorell hotel is a brilliantly located hotel on the outskirts of Zurich near Spreitenbach. There is a petrol pump cum supermarket which is open from 7 am till 11pm which is about 5 minutes walking distance.
The best part is the Macdonalds just next door with a nice ambience which is open from 9 am till midnight. It has one of those ordering machines to save time and good seating options.
Now the hotel itself is nice and the rooms are spacey. The bathroom is good but they should keep something as it tends to be slippery near the bathtub. I loved everything about the hotel. My only complaint was that they seemed to be short staffed with one person doing everything after 8pm.
Breakfast was decent but it is a budget hotel and if you go in with that expectation then you wont be disappointed.
