Wonderful view of Zurich
TravellerfromSINon 31/05/2017 23:55We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a wonderful view of the lake. Although not in town, it's tucked away in a quiet part of Zurich just a short tram ride away from town. The room is large and very comfortable with all the necessary amenities, as was the bathroom. Breakfast is buffet style with a choice of eggs that you can order. Staff were very helpful (we had trouble with our rental car and they went all out to try and help us contact the car rental company and when that failed, they tried to sort it out themselves although with no success but kudos for the effort). A stay with nothing to complain about.
Worth the short trip out of downtown
Jan Mon 28/05/2017 17:12Loved this place! Recommended by our son, who is a world traveller as a must stay accommodation when we were in Zurich. Well worth the effort to get there, we took the local tram, very easy, and even though we were only there one night, it could have been a convenient home base as no problem to get to town, quick and simple. Had a delicious gourmet meal in the hotel restaurant, then strolled on the paved footpaths across the hillside after dinner, and watch a glorious sunset on the Alps and twinkling Zurich below. Loved it, wished we could have stayed longer!
Great quiet location with good view
TimberTraderon 03/05/2017 18:30The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. The view of the lake whilst distant, was very nice. Cost for the Brits even with devalued post brexit pound seemed quite expensive. The Sfr9 ticket per day for the electric tram for the whole day was very good value. Got caught out with taxi from the airport at Sfr65 but it would have been an obstacle course any other way.
The food was excellent.

296SarahMileson 30/04/2017 19:18Lovely hotel near the zoo (so there's a very regular tram service - every 10 minutes from the city centre) it's uphill all the way from the city past amazingly beautiful university buildings, it feels very rural. Gorgeous views across the city, lake and towards the snow-topped mountains from the breakfast room/restaurant, the terrace and even from our bedroom balcony.
Staff particularly friendly and helpful.

Vigouilleon 21/04/2017 19:44Very nice and pleasant little Hotel high above Zurich with stunning view over the city, the lake and if you are lucky over almost the entire swiss alps. Staff is friendly and rooms clean, spacious with excellent bedding quality.
Hotel restaurant is nice and the seasonal asparagus from the surrounding area is delicious. Just: it's sauce hollandaise that comes normally with asparagus. Not sauce béarnaise which clearly doesn't fit.
