A very pleasant and welcoming place

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at southern star hotel in Mysore. The hotel itself is very nice, with a large surrounding garden area and a large pool. There is a bar that can serve drinks around the pool and the whole area has a very calm and relaxed vibe ( a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Mysore). The inside of the hotel is very clean and tidy and it is clearly kept in very good order. All of the staff are very friendly and smiley and are always eager to help. The people at reception are always ready to help and can organise many things for you, such as appointments, trips, transport etc. The rooms are very spacious, well designed and comfortable, and are kept in excellent condition by the great cleaners. The food itself is of of very good quality and is very varied. The doormen are very friendly and there is also a magician that is often outside that can do incredible magic tricks. I have enjoyed my stay here very much and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Mysore.

We had a good stay at Southern Star in Mysore. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. There is enough parking space and the surrounding are nice. The breakfast buffet spread was awesome. Priced at a little less than 4k(after online booking discounts) for a superior room including an extra bed, it was very much worth the price.

visited the restaurant number of times with family as well as business friends both local and overseas.
Service, quality of food is excellent. Mr. Ramani requires special mention as he takes care of your requirements as well as your guests with utmost care.
Value for your money.

Decent family hotel

Hotel is conveniently located and decent though the facility has begun to show its age. Swimming pool and spa are operational and the parking facility is adequate for the transit travellers.

The breakfast spread is good and tasty, and the restaurant by the pool was running a kabab special that was quite popular among the locals.

An exhibition at the hotel grounds had an amazing collection of silk ladies wear and sarees.

In a nutshell, the hotel was decent though a bit over priced.

Lovely ambience on the poolside

Went to the poolside for buffet and the feel is lovely. It was a pleasant evening, the spread included kebabs with a decent range of curry , bread and dessert. Not to forget the complimentary glass of wine. Worth all the price
