Relaxing couple of days
JWN1942on 20/02/2017 10:37An attractive hotel with spacious nicely furnished rooms and good facilities. The beds were comfortable though the pillows needed replacing.
Staff members were all very friendly though appeared a bit stressed at times.
The breakfast was good with lots of choice.
A free Wifi service was available in the lobby and gallery but was at times a bit unreliable and we were surprised to find that it cost €7 per day if you wanted to receive Wifi in your room. It's some years since we have been charged for this in hotels so it was quite a surprise.
Car parking was a bit tight, the hotel car park is quite small with nowhere enough spaces for the amount of cars even when the hotel is only half full.
On the whole a nice relaxing stay in a hotel that I would recommend to friends.
Pleasant staying
AugustusGion 15/02/2017 20:21It was a pleasant staying but maybe I expected more. Room is big and confortable, meals are good (not great), sauna and swimming pool are awesome after a skiing day and gym is also very complete.
Cons: if hotel is full you have to wait for being serve at meals. Children screaming could ruin a quiet and relaxing dinner.

Gabriele_1957on 06/02/2017 11:40We stayed here for 5 days for skiing. Wether was not very nice, but everything else was. The staff is very friendly, especially the hotel director goes out of his way to accomoate all the the wishes! Congratulations!
Christmas in Oberstaufen
Yareach1975on 25/12/2016 21:31My mom and I decided to celebrate Christmas ones in a pampering environment. The hotel matched our expectations by 60%.
The area is lovely.
The rooms are average.
The pillows are hard and over used.
The heater in the room did not work and could not get fixed.
We slept the first night with bathrobes on top of the covers, as there were not enough covers. After complaining we got 2 more sets of covers and pillows. The breakfast is ok but coffe is served in a thermos can and if you arrive later, it is cold. We had a bill to sign on our table in the morning which was not ours, this happened throughout every meal. Check the invoice prior departure as it is not correct. Other tables were complaining as well. TV is horrible, no channel without disturbances or not available, channels not according to the order written on a piece of paper in the room. Afternoon snack is served with tea but water and or coffee is not included in any meal which gives the feeling of a 2 star mass tourist hotel. Price for a bottle of water 6€… The area is great and the view amazing. We got a small electronic oven in the room for the 3rd night.
The water in the whirlpool is not hot enough. My 55 min massage was over after 40 min and not too professional. Our bathroom toilet flush has no power and needs to be operated 3time after using the toilet. The housekeeping did not understand one word of German so communication was impossible.
The Christmas dinner was amazing, very tasty, lots of style and very well organized, if at the end of the night the bill for drinks would not have been messed up and I got served twice the wrong drink, it would have been a perfect night.
While checking out, my bill was reduced by 30€ after informing regarding the massage, which was honorable.
Relaxing visit to Oberstaufen

Staff are very Friendly and helpful especially the restaurant manager ( i think from Netherland with his accent) , foods are fantastic and delicious , great breakfast with so much choices ,
Spa area is big with outdoor and indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. 1 steam bath and 2 saunas dowstair and 1 infrared sauna on the pool level.
we had full body massage which is very relaxing. Gladys did my massage and it was heavenly. i can only recommend her if you want to have a massage.
Our room was nice and clean on the second floor but near the main road the 3 days we were there was so hot and sunny and the sun was shining directly to our room so it was too hot and we want to sleep with open window to have fresh cold air in the room but its too loud especially in the early morning ,across the street is a Bakery and Tea Room where people come and go with their car to buy bread. it is just too impossible to sleep longer in summer. if you close the windows then its quieter because it is well isolated. one more thing, we have to carry our luggage to the second floor because there is no elevator on this side of the building.
Well, if ever we came back to this hotel we would definitely request for a room at the back of the building which is nice and quite.
i still would like to recommend this hotel to all my friends who wants to visit Oberstaufen.
