Awesome location but requires good service.

The hotel is situated in a residential place. The way shown in map is wrong from 500 mts away of the hotel. You should ask the residents out there. The view from the hotel is awesome. Its quite serene and calm. Since we drove from bangalore to kodai it took us about 9 hrs 30 mins to reach the place with severals pit stops in between and decided to order food from the hotel which was not good. Service is ok. We had booked royal room it was like a 2 bhk house. The rooms need to be maintained as there were many spider webs. Cleaning was done on a daily basis whenever we asked for. Overall stay was good

Poor service

The room is nice and cozy with a pleasant view. However, when we reached the hotel, we were asked to wait outside for 20 minutes because they said the room needs to be cleaned (despite of us pre-booking the room three days before our actual arrival). And not to forget, the service quality is so bad, very unprofessional, neither can the staff communicate with us as they do not speak in English or Hindi. Last but not the least, in cold December, we were forced to take bath with cold water. The have geyser equipped in the bathroom though, but it was not functioned. When we request the staff to assist us, he randomly said the geyser perfectly worked well. This is one big disappointment as the staffs are not very helpful. If one look for a great view with a quiet surroundings, then this place is perfect. But if you do not want to ruin your vacation mood because of poor service quality, avoid this place.

Superb stay at Spring Valley residency

We went ( along with kids) on Dec 25th and stayed 2 days in spring valley residency kodaikanal . There is one more hotel name called Hotel spring valley . So don't get confused while booking . Its a 2 km from Bustand and 3.5 km from lake .

Rooms are very clean , neat . We have stayed in Royal room 1st floor . It has 4 bed rooms , one big main hall along with 50 inches LED TV . Each room has a wonderful view .
Each Royal rooms has separate TV , Rest room , Balcony sit out area , wardprobe. Bathrooms are very clean , hot water availability is really good at all times. Spring valley Manager Arumugam have arranged sight seeing package and its really good , value for money . They have arranged SWIFT , Indica car for sight seeing . They have provided room service . Room service boys are really good . Food is tasty south Indian style , north indian style . Rokku ( north indian cook ) , Ashok ( south indian cook ) , mani is a room service boy .They really served food , tea on time with respect .

Spring Valley has Kids Play area .

Overall stay at Spring valley is really wonderful and memorable event .

We can satisfy our basic needs
Even water and electricity is not available in this hotel
At kodaikanal atmosphere every hotel provide us hot water but in spring velly not provide us a single drop of water
We are suggest that you should go at dharmashala not in this hotel

hotel room is good but service quality is very poor. i have visited there in 22nd december to 24th 2015 . there is no dinner or lunch facility in hotel only they provide is breakfast. that also not worth the money. also hotel is far away from main market.
