Absolutely lovely night away
Penny23on 10/08/2017 20:56My husband and I had a fantastic time at Stanley house. The staff were great, the food was fantastic and the rooms were lovely, very spacious and clean. One of the best breaks we've had. There was even great little touches like fresh milk in a fridge for a coffee in the room and umbrellas to use at the door as it was raining. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again.
Fantastic Place
wandering son 07/08/2017 19:51Impressive rooms in the "Woodland" rooms. Lovely view from our room. The time in the thermal spa was a joy. From look to one of the 4 different steam rooms or various showers. Excellent staff.
The one negative was dinner. Sat down at 8 and did not get served until 9. The only saving grace was the fact the staff kept us updated and did not just leave us sitting there. Wish we had booked the grill on the hill instead of Mr Fred's. Not much to excite on the menu.
Despite the one negative, can't wait to go back which we are before the end of the month
Spa Sunday
on 06/08/2017 20:41Myself and my mum visited The Spa at Stanley House, both indulging in the ILA taster package for a bit of weekend luxury. From start to finish you certainly made the day memorable. First of all the warm welcome, from the lady on reception, first impressions are certainly a positive here. As you enter you are presented with an immaculate spa with the right balance of modern elegance throughout. Obviously keeping a count on how many people enter throughout the day the spa is never overcrowded. With impeccable views from the ceiling to floor windows throughout you really do feel like you have escaped from the day to day chores even with Monday creeping slowly up on us you feel in your own world of relaxation. After two brilliant hours in the spa using the variety of saunas and steam rooms we went back to the lounge ready for our treatments. Both having chosen the full body massage and facial combination. I had the wonderful Sarah N. She was friendly yet professional throughout and is a credit to your spa. She performed the treatment to an incredible standard. Not once did I feel like she rushed and I left with incredible results feeling on cloud nine. What a brilliant therapist. The same goes for Jo, my mum loved her treatments also, and praised you for her two hours of bliss. Hats off to the spa especially the girls mentioned there are not many places that get it ALL right. Like we hadn't indulged enough we then headed over to Mr Fred's for afternoon tea. Brilliant setting and the selection was traditional with a few well chosen twists. All in all a brilliant day. I will of-course be returning as always!
Went for a night with the hubby
muna son 03/08/2017 17:41Me and my partner have visited so many spa hotels across england...by far this has been the the most pleasant.
Staff were very friendly, lovely location and views, our room was stunning and clean, the spa was so classy and emaculate we loved it. I felt so relax after our spa session.
We had booked dinner at Mr. Fred's, this is the only part that wasn't the best. Didn't think the menu had a great selection, however the food was nice and the service was faultless.
We also had breakfast which had a continental buffet or a choice of.hot breakfast to order. They did offer a vegetarian full which we got and was lovely.
I will 100% return very soon.
Thanks
Lovely Spa!
Hayley Bon 02/08/2017 19:23Have stayed here previously. Today I had a spa afternoon. It's expensive but a nice experience. You don't need any longer in the Spa than 2 hours. We had an express facial included in our spa, tbh I've had better therapists do a facial on me. I was offered either a longer facial or a foot rub, I opted for the foot rub which turned out to be feet in a bowl of water and the therapist rubbing them for 10 seconds! I'd go for the longer facial. A really lovely spa but not particularly experienced therapist I feel.
