What People are saying

Great hotel

benweb39on 30/07/2017 07:19

Spent a week here and have to say it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in!
Paula was great and always had a smile on her face, in fact all the staff were great!
The pool was lush and even tho people went and put their towels down at 6am, there was still enough sun beds for everyone.
The rooms are massive and have everything you need but staff are more then happy to get you anything you may need.
The main strip is about 10 minutes walk away and the beach is about 2 minutes away!

Absolute Gem

We are just back from here after a week, which definitely wasn't long enough, family of 8 including - 3 kids aged 4, 5 & 8. Friendliest staff, had time for everyone made kids feel like nothing was too much and with 3 fussy kids that's commendable, Paula is definitely an asset to Stemma Hotel. Food in resort was exceptional we ate there for breakfast and lunch and ventured out at nights for food in the town, nothing compared to back at the hotel but we wanted to do some shopping while on holiday that's the only reason we did leave although could of happily lived within the complex for it had everything to keep us occupied, large pool area and smaller pool for little ones, everyone in the complex became friends, every night there was entertainment of some kind be it staff entertaining. Greek dancing, bingo on a Tuesday singers on certain nights. Overall fantastic experience and already looking at returning next summer!

Best holiday ever

Just back from two weeks staying at Stemma.
Wonderful hotel/apartments, clean and tidy, lovely pool and wonderful entertainment especially Greek night, great food and a wonderful stocked bar.
But what made this hotel was the wonderful family who own it, Nicky, Nicos and Costa as well as the two staff Costas 2 and Paula nothing was too much trouble.

Nice place to relax

Spent 2 weeks here end of May into June.
We were welcomed by Paula and shown straight to our room.
The rooms are very spacious if a bit dated.
The pool area is great, with plenty of loungers/umbrellas and never had any issues getting a lounger, no matter what time of day.
The staff, especially Paula were very friendly and helpful.
We didn't need air con during our stay as the room was surprisingly cool if you keep the curtains closed when you're out.
Plenty of cupboard space.
Kitchenette could have done with a small pan being added (you have a frying pan and a very large stew type pot)
Safety deposit box was in reception (10 euro a week)
WIFI was available around bar and pool but was sketchy depending on where your room was (ours was the furthest away)
The only minor issue during our stay was the cleaning of the bathroom, which could be improved.
It's a 10 min stroll to the strip, but there are good bars and restaurants on the way.

Overall, for what we paid I think this hotel represented good value for money in Greece

A few areas to improve

Hannah Aon 30/06/2017 20:48

We stayed with family for two weeks at the stema. We were impressed at first with the pretty pool area and nice location which is a short walk to the quieter beach and seafront restaurants.

Unfortunately at check in we were dismayed to realise that the air con (payable locally) was very expensive €60 a week. As we were on a budget £105 for air con seemed incredibly steep and a little mean when the temperatures were consistently above 30oC during our stay. This became a greater problem during our stay as the nights became warmer and warmer.

The other difficulty we had was that our sheets were only changed once during the two weeks - maybe this isn't standard but we definitely had the same sheets the whole second week. Given the heat this was all pretty unpleasant! We probably should have asked if they could be changed but you presume that this would be done really without having to ask. The floor was often sandy too and pretty dirty leaving marks on your feet.

The TV didn't work and we had very minimal crockery in the kitchenette I.e one bowl. Overall these issues give the property a very basic feeling when it wouldn't be that hard to lower the cost for air con and update the rooms and cleaning schedule somewhat.

Positives were the friendly staff and the location as previously mentioned.
