darleneb962on 03/06/2017 09:54My stay at the Super 8 in Caraquet, N.B. was pleasant. My only negative comment would be the Breakfast. I have stayed in many accommodations during business travel, for the same Room types and cost, and always had a hot breakfast with several choices compared to this one. I was not satisfied and actually went out to eat at my expense.
Not Impressed
chrisB5457FFon 02/06/2017 12:51The bed was hard and uncomfortable. There was lots of noise above and beside us. The hot tub was down for maintenance (told by staff it's been down for a month). Breakfast had little options and no hot options. Shower head broken.
Nice stay in Caraquet

A Safe Harbour in a Terrible Storm
BrianHurlburton 20/05/2017 20:39We were in Caraquet when the roof blew off the Rossy Store! Some say it was a big wind, others more local to the area say it was indeed a Tornado! Typically this area doesn't get Tornados, but I know there was rain, hail, thunder, lightning, wind, and one video I saw later showed up to 5 Water Spouts! Regardless, we were very happy to find a safe harbour in a terrible storm. We were warm, dry, comfortable, and fed (continental breakfast), and were very happy to have found all this and more at the Super8 in Caraquet. Oh, and lest I forget, the staff, especially the front desk clerk and her son, were great and made sure we were well cared for. Our only regret is we wished we had our bathing suits! Not to spend time outside in the storm, but inside the pool area with that incredible slide! All said, we would definitely recommend this place, even when it's not in the middle of a storm!

jackoNEEnglandon 17/05/2017 03:01Stayed for 2 nights this week.
Rooms were looking a bit tired but the bed was excellent.
Free breakfast was adequate but all pre packed fare.
Main issue was noise from bathroom being used in room above.
You could hear every drop of water being used and drained from above!
When there bath was being emptied it sounded like a flood was descending into our room.
Staff were very good apart from one and she checked us in. It was Sunday and I am pretty sure their were only 2 rooms occupied that night. We had requested a quiet room away from the lift. We were given a room looking out to the back of the hotel which is somewhat industrial. As all the rooms at the front were unused we asked if we could be moved as they all had a sea view. Somewhat reluctantly this was agreed and we were given room 201 , just under the canopy were you could see the harbour if you sat down on your bed, just. It was also immediately opposite the elevator door and adjacent to the aircon plant , boilers and pool equipment. Probably, especially with the plumbing the noisiest place you could find. Decided not to ask for another move as could have been given, We don't know what's! If it was a case of money we would have willingly paid extra if asked. But I think it was something else. Needless to say I won't be returning.
Also suggest that entail some sound proofing is put in to shelter you from noises above stay out of Room 201.
