psicokittyon 09/08/2017 22:22Decided to end our week stay in Edinburgh at the grand dame, Balmoral Hotel's Palm Court. Beautiful room with harp playing. We opted to have the Champagne Tea and it was so delicious. Our waiter was delightful and service was seamless. Definitely the place to celebrate a special occasion!
Wonderful Hotel in Edinburgh
2pugs2010on 09/08/2017 17:48This is a wonderful old hotel that is in a great location to see the sights of Edinburgh. The train station is next door to the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very near Edinburgh Castle. The rooms are very roomy and the bathroom is quite large. The main restaurant is excellent for breakfast and dinner. There are also some nice pubs within walking distance.

Friendly staff, good food and excellent breakfast (although the breakfast room could be more cosy (decoration of the eighties with pictures of tango dancers...)
Location with a Price
RondaGrayon 09/08/2017 12:00I just returned from Scotland and stayed at the Balmoral. It is right in the heart of the city. You can walk anywhere! The rooms are small for 750 pounds a night. The beds were hard if that is what you prefer. It is very busy so keep that in mind. The concierge were great but overwhelmed. Number One was fabulous and highly rated!
Excellent stay at Edinburgh's best!

I'd heard and read about the history and grandeur of the Balmoral and knew that I didn't want to stay anywhere else. I was not disappointed. If I ever return to Edinburgh, there is only one hotel for me...The Balmoral.
