Elizabeth Hon 10/07/2017 21:27This hotel is much as it was in the 1800"s. Those who want the historical view of Brighton would love to spend a couple of nights here. The price is reasonable and the location is unbeatable because of its proximity to the sea front and all the restaurants and attractions there. The view is spectacular and it's just across the street from the British Airways "i". If your room is at the front, you'll receive free wifi from the "i" ! Breakfast is delicious and has lots of variety.

Gilbert Ton 28/06/2017 08:49THIS IS A CLEAR BREACH OF TRADE DESCRIPTIONS ACT and health and safety regulations.; the rooms (and rest of hotel) bear no resemblance to the hotel supplied images. Look at the customer images instead, Im getting my money back from my stay.
Ignore all the positive reviews here as I reckon lots of them are written by their own staff. This place hardly even rates one out of five, everything from manky carpets, worn and ripped seats to dangerous wires hanging out of walls and double beds that are made from two singles pushed together. Beddding therefore didnt even fit the bed, and there was a big step in the middle where the beds were different heights. There was muck and mould on walls and on the ceiling in the shower room. I wouldnt put a rat up in this hotel, never mind human beings. Its abreack of Trade Descriptions Act and also Health And Safety regulations. It should be shut down.
Overnight stay to save 3 hrs driving.
Charles Bon 21/06/2017 23:08Welcome reception last minute booking having used previously in similar circumstances. Period property with traditional seasidw BnB character. 4th floor dbl room with view over old pier thru skylight windows .
Ok for charactr.. but lift not working and lucky no big luggage. Bed and en suite fine. Free wi fi and tv. Cleanliness A1. Breakfast eat as much basic cereals juice t coffee cooked etc at basic self serve level. Excellent fish restaurant attached on sea front. Safe secure underground carpark opposite..about £10 overnight.. just £5 aftermidnight. Will return in similar circs need overnight stay. Many options similar price for longer holiday stays.
One night wonder!
JMurphson 24/05/2017 18:29I was pleasantly surprised with this. I came expecting a place to drop our bags before we headed out, but was greeted with a lovely little view from the room. Not everyone going here will have the view we had of the water from our room, so appreciate that won't be the consensus from all - but it definitely added to the aura of what was already a clean and tidy room.
The staff (of which were different every single time oddly enough) were helpful.
Breakfast from memory wasn't excellent. The tea and coffee didn't get great reviews and the fry up was fairly basic.
But for the value, location and sea view... it exceeded expectations!
Brilliant for Hen Parties
AnnonLeightonBuzzardon 22/05/2017 21:43Four of us had a family room as part of a Hen party. The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room in the bathroom. We had a gorgeous sea view.The breakfast was satisfactory,not the best I have had but fine.
