Clean and safe, but straight outta the 60's!

Disclaimer: I am not picky with accommodations, my expectations are simple. Safe location for a car load of stuff, clean room, hot shower, comfy bed. If you need top of the line accommodations- skip this town altogether :)

With that said: We picked this hotel for its location and the fact that it's pet friendly- without an additional fee! If you are into antiquing I 100% recommend it. It's basically on the main strip of 10-20 antique shops, even walkable to some.

I was in room 272, this place is old-timey in structure and in decor but here's the thing- IT'S CLEAN!

Customer service was also great, the hotel over booked my original room type and I was "downgraded" so they provided me with a complimentary wine basket at check in, which was unnecessary, but appreciated.

I'd stay here again if I found a need to visit Denver, PA.

Renaissance Faire weekend

Rooms need a major upgrade and cleaning. Chose this motel because of the great package deal for the faire. There were mold on the shower curtain and holes in the curtain for the window. I think there was blood on the curtain. The wood on the porch was rotted.

Extravaganza week

Room was probably last renovated in 1963!
We are antique collectors and even appreciate mid century modern but this place is just run down. Staff is friendly and helpful consequently we did not complain. Room was fairly clean but smelled like smoke even though it was non smoking. Maintanace has been deferred for a long time.Good luck getting anything to stay plugged in the outlets are all worn out.

The many bad reviews of this place kinda scared me at first. However, this quaint lodge was not bad at all! The retro look of the place was nice. The hotel is quiet and peaceful and I feel very safe here. While the rooms could use upgrades, they are perfectly furnished with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The best part is how friendly and helpful the staff is!

I found the place to be scenic by the pool. We did not have option of putting air conditioning on it is turned on certain times of month by maintance. I also found the manager Kim to be rude in her demeanor of dealing with others.
