Bed bugs in Luxury Deluxe room. Worst experience
u_higibigion 16/08/2017 19:59The Byke Heritage, Matheran, Mumbai.
1. Luxury Deluxe room, they charged Rs5000/ per night, Aug 2017.
2. And it has bed bugs in bed & in sofa. We could not sleep, had to lay down on the floor of the hotel room.
3. Room is very much damp & smells dirty.
4. Complementary breakfast has only dosa & idli.
Only good thing is... Very big property, 10mins walking from main market area of Matheran.
Otherwise too much costly and very poor condition of the rooms and services. Cleanliness of room & toilet is the most basic thing for any hotel & for any room. But even a Luxury Deluxe room, which is costlier than Deluxe room, had bed bugs.
We realised bed bugs at 12:30 in the night, when we went to sleep, tried calling the reception but no one picked it up. The reception & rooms are separate, you have to walk for a minute to reach to the reception. And the area has jungle & it was raining and there were monkeys even at night, so it was not feasible to walk to the reception at 12:30 in the night.
So at last we had to sleep on the hotel room, on the damp floor of Luxury Deluxe Room.
best hotel of my trip
Akash Son 08/08/2017 08:01i was here july 31st. i would say very nice hotel. every one will love this location. they have spa facility, swimming pool also. dont not eat out side of hotel cuz they have very nice food, i have taken brake-fast and dinner in this hotel and we all of them love food.

vishmeghon 20/07/2017 02:55Ideal Family vacation hotel. Decent rooms. Both Mr Sharma (GM) and Mr Narender More at front desk are excellent guys. They helped us with an urgent room when we had a horrible experience at next door property Keki Lodge managed by Saffron Stays ( home stay portal managed by Ms Tejas). I had to move my family including a 7 year old son in the dark rainy night and that was the time when staff at BYKE resorts really showed a mature and professional attitude. A BIG thank you. We strongly recommend this place for a weekend family getaway.
BEST place to enjoy matheran
hemantkediaon 15/07/2017 09:13this is a kind of place which adds to the beauty of the tourist place matheran. the hotel byke is located on the end of all hotels of matheran city but truly the kind of hotel it is the best in the whole matheran i have ever seen the hotel is a building of ancient times which was purchased and a then re-developed their are a variety of space there to enjoy as this is spread in 7 acres of area and also the systematic work out their make every guest feel so special as their facilities and responsibilities they undertake is seriously fantastic and also they have variety of packages of rooms with food without food and in food also thier is variety of only breakfast then breakfast with lunch and all the three types and i chose to have all the things out there only and make sure this is the best package to have as u get get every possible things on time to satisfy the hunger of food as the have breakfast, lunch, high tea and also dinner. and the quality of food is very awesome to have as the have food of quality home made and taste like restaurant this means to have satisfactions of the mind and stomach both and i am seriously very happy to have stayed there for 3 days and make me feel like to have extended it more and surely i will as soon as i have a plan to go as they are valuable memories i have.
also their is swimming pool with cricket space badminton table tennis and pool as well which make the time in the hotel to be a fun time as we enjoyed the hotel more then the outside world.
i would like to say to everyone to have a stay in this hotel for the time they spend in matheran to add more joy to their trip and have realise the feeling i had and make good memories.

Manu Bon 12/07/2017 16:39Matheran is always a must for nearby Mumbaikars. This time choose this resort to celebrate my Wife's birthday. A definite heritage property, among one of the oldest resorts in Matheran tucked away in serenity. I would recommend to go for the all meals plans during your stay since the food (although vegetarian only) is lip smacking. They have evening entertainment line up housie games followed by live music playing bliss full ghazals to old time favorites. There is also an in-house discotheque for all young and old to swing away in the night. Great place for family for a laid back outing and kids to enjoy. There is much more but i would suggest you check it out for yourself to cherish the special moments!
