Amazing experience

I had been to this resort in the month of May 2017 and absolutely loved it. I had stayed in the tent and the experience was top notch.

Food was good and the resort has very good garden area and villas as well. Even while you are not on safari, you can just roam around and can easily pass your time around the swimming pool area and/or garden area.

the only down side of the resort is that the pick up area , from where you will get the guide and the jeep, are around 1.5 kms away. So if you are not a person who is interested in walking, then it will cost you a few hundred extra bucks for pick-up.

Well, I would recommend that you walk down, as we did, and you may find a crocodile taking a sun bath on the river banks,,as we did, :-)

having said that, you will absolutely love the experience and this resort and the national forest is a place you must visit...

The best trip of January

We were on our flying trip to gujrat and made a halt at The Fern Gir for 2 nights and 1 day. It was an amazing experience, cooperative and at your service staff, greT food, amazing folk singer and great spa services. I wish we could have stayed more. But i really look forward for another visit. Thankyou Fern gir, you have made a lasting impression.

Incredible warmth and customer centricity

- Gave us an upgrade to a Villa as we checked in
- Excellent walk with a Naturalist in the forest area near resort sighting birds
- Good game options - TT, Badminton , Pool
- Incredibly courteous and warm staff; the restaurant staff were just super! Packed sumptuous breakfast in very quick time, as we got delayed at Gir safari, and had to rush back to leave to Diu airport.

When we are planning to visit Sasan Gir forest, we never expect any kind of luxury earlier, before visiting this excellent resort. But when we visited here, our definition to visit forest has changed. This resort is having all kind of luxury, a tourist expects from a five star resort. Swimming pool, gym, spa, internet, candle light dinner, best food and above all courteous staff and superb service.I recommend this place to every tourist visits Sasan Gir to experience the true luxury in woods.

Mesmerizing Jungle Stay

Booked online on Goibibo. Try their deals. Very good and reasonable. The Staff was very cooperative. Especially their front office lady named Soni was very helpful. We had booked the Wintergreen Cottage. These cottages are not stand alone but like a duplex. Go for the Villas if you'd prefer stand alone. Nice clean rooms. We could not do the Jungle Safari since they're closed from June 15 - Oct 15.

Coming to the food - Disappointing as per Fern standards. They have to improve on their food quality. Avoid ordering their Paneer items. The Red Thai Curry was decent. The breakfast was average nothing fancy. I'm assuming because of the Off Season this could be the reason which is unacceptable when you're paying for all 2/3 meals inclusive.

Decent property, no complaints otherwise. Courteous staff.
