Looked after us very well, had medical emergency and the hotel staff, from manager to concierge we're fantastic. They could not have done enough for us.
The only issue was that there was no good wheelchair access.
The grand old lady is still fabulous.
294kateon 11/06/2017 10:36We had a wonderful 3 night stay in May. If you want to experience 5 star service this is the place to go. Every member of staff regardless of role was ready with a smile and ready to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, this extended to our Belgian shepherd dog who is definitely not a lap dog! The windows in deluxe sea room view were covered with plastic because of the refurbishments, however we knew this before arrival, the room was beautiful, very spacious, very clean and an absolute delight. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome with service that was just right. We will return.
Lovely hotel in a great location - no parking on-site
448lesleynon 11/06/2017 09:57Lovely hotel (undergoing a major refurb) in great location. Previously stayed and had a fantastic room with a sea view with wonderful facilities but this time a rear inland view and much smaller more average. Still comfortable however.
The best value in Brighton.
Colin Ton 10/06/2017 08:30You can always get a cheap hotel room in Brighton at a traditional seaside hotel or a more modern Jury's Inn or Travelodge, but nothing can match the experience of staying at The Grand. It is certainly worth paying a little extra to enjoy the pamper, service and luxury which comes as standard. Unfortunately, during our stay, the exterior of the building was covered with scaffolding, but the grandeur inside is stunning and beautifully maintained. My wife and I were impressed with our spacious and beautify appointed room. A massive, very comfortable, bed and spacious ensuite. Immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is equally memorable, with an amazing hot and cold buffet selection. If arriving by car a big plus is the large separate drive at the front of the hotel, making arrival, unloading and check in easy. The "on site" parking is also an essential, with the convenience of valet parking if required. Let's face it, much of Brighton is "tacky", but certainly not The Grand.
My only complaint was the lack of a good choice of wines at the bar. No Shiraz, no Malbec?

arundel53on 09/06/2017 21:39We arrived at the Grand yesterday for lunch with a friend, my wife is a wheelchair user and the concierge said that it would be easier if we parked in the hotel car park without charging (to which I agreed and thanked him!) we drove around the block to the car park (a lot easier to get into the hotel).
We had a drink in the lounge before We went into the restaurant, service was as you would expect very good. The waiter in the restaurant was very helpful describing the new menu well - we settled for the sharing platter ( good but what is the purpose of popcorn?) my wife had fish & chips whilst I had sea bass , really good and our friend just had Dover sole which was apparently really nice!
Overall service very good, food was good too!
