What People are saying

Awful

Charlotte12358on 04/08/2017 19:12

Our flight was delayed and we emailed the hostel as soon as we found out to inform them. When we landed we called over 10 times with no answer , we were then told we needed to pay a late check in fee and because we wanted to pay on debit card yet another fee - so not really the price it first appeared to be and the lady was quite unaccommodating.
My pillow was covered in blood , the beds were really creeky and the mattress was older than Edinburgh Castle .
The shower was either Scorching hot or freezing , and the lock was crap and the door flung open half way through my shower , which isn't great when they are shared sex showers. Would not stay here again and would not recommend . The only good thing is that transport is fast so you can leave quickly the next morning

Good location

Excellent location. 2 minutes from the bus stop coming from the airport and same if u arrive by train.

Good value accommodation. Lots of different travellers.

Bedding is clean as is toilets and showers.

Fast wifi.

Easy checkin.

No lockers in dormitories so a bit cramped floor space wise in the 14 bed mixed rooms.

A nice friendly quite hostel with lovely staff.

Lots of cafés and resturants close by.

Supermarkets also handy if U use the hostel kitchen.

Great Staff!

I stayed here for a few nights whilst in Edinburgh. Hostel is well located, right across the street from tram stop and train station and you can walk to most places as well. Rooms were comfortable with all the basics. Bathrooms were clean. Self catering kitchen with almost everything you can need. I also found this hostel very well priced. Best thing was the staff! Always friendly, helpful and smiling. Thanks for a good stay!

centrally located

Budget accommodation right at the train station. Quite easy access to airport by coach. Affordable prices, very friendly staff and clean premises. It's an ideal solution for solo travellers in dormitory.

Great, affordable hostel

Stayed here with a Stag do that I organised. The staff were really friendly and helpful, couldn't have asked for better service at reception.

The rooms are basic, as to be expected in hostel accommodation. But it had everything we needed for an easy 2 nights stay in the city. The toilets and showers are shared but was fine for us.
I requested that we had our group all together in one room and they sorted this for us with no issues.

If you are looking to book with a Stag group, just be mindful of the hostel's quiet hours. The staff there are very understanding and they helped us have a really great weekend.

Location wise it's not dead centre of the city but there is Haymarket train station just opposite and plenty of regular buses. Personally I would recommend walking everywhere because it's such an amazing city to explore.
