paisleybuddy_10on 27/08/2017 16:38Very nice hotel. Rooms were great and fairly good sized. It was a little noisy as the rooms are above the bar and restaurant. I would have given the hotel 5 buttons, but there was no elevator and the rooms are on the 2nd or 3rd floors. Rather awkward when you are lugging suitcases.

mack5678on 27/08/2017 11:13We only had a meal and drinks , fantastics atmosphere and great food . Worth every penny and will visit again in the very near future. Even how busy it was during the fringe the food arrived hot and very quickly.
Royal Experience at Inn on the Mile
jcp01on 25/08/2017 21:57My wife and I booked a room at the Inn on the Mile for our recent stay in Edinburgh. The Inn has a great location on the Royal Mile at South Bridge Street and is a short walk to the castle. In the room, the beds are comfortable and there is ample storage. The staff was very accommodating and provided needed electrical adapters so that we could recharge our US configured electronics. We were in Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo and were initially concerned that the noise from the crowds in town for the Fringe Festival would be disruptive to a good night's sleep. However, our room on the second floor was quiet and comfortable and we were able to have a good sleep. The amenities - Nespresso, cups, etc. - are of a good quality and are much better than what you would typically have in a hotel room. The Inn on the Mile has a feel of an old time public inn with all of the modern conveniences.
All round excellence
Lizziefromsaliaburyon 24/08/2017 08:13The Inn on the Mile is so well situated for seeing all areas of Edinburgh (including the Festival and Fringe). I was slightly concerned that it would be too noisy during the night but with heavy roller blinds and thick black out curtains there was no problem. The bedrooms (rooms 5 and 2) are of a high standard. Very comfy beds, bed linens, good quality furnishings and with nice touches of chocolate covered strawberries and fruit basket, plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits. The bathrooms are lovely with deep baths, rain showers and The White Company products.
What really makes this place? the staff - they are all young, attentive and knowledgeable of the city and are passionate about making sure everyone is having a good experience. We had supper in the bar one night which again was very good. We will definitely stay on our next visit.
1 night visit for the Fringe
harrymack19on 22/08/2017 13:42I booked this hotel for a day away to the Edinburgh fringe with my wife, and I was not disappointed, quick and efficient check -in, complimentary drink on arrival, luggage taken to our room, friendly staff, lovely, clean and large room, great breakfast in the morning, and all round excellent service and very nice hotel in a superb location, we paid £270 for our night, which included a complimentary bottle of fizz on arrival - and as I said , our breakfast I wouldn't hesitate paying that again - id like visit again outwith the fringe, our stay was so good. thanks to everyone who worked on the 20/21st August 2017.
