What People are saying

Only ok!

Barry Kon 03/07/2017 09:54

Friends and myself have stayed here every year for the last 5 years !
This year really disappointed!
Walked into room to the unpleasant smell of a dirty drain!
Yuk the shower stank! And the water never ran away freely.
Got someone to come and clean it but instead just sprayed a smelly deodorant!
Told them again!
Still the same problem, they need a better cleaning scheme!
Need a decent soak in bleach!
Awful unclean stench!

This a great property right next to bangla road! The night vibe is brilliant. If you enjoy the music buzz around you, you will like this place.
The staff were friendly at the hotel and always helpful. The pool bar seemed to be very popular but we didn't get a chance to get in or use it because of our schedule.

Breakfast was adequate, there wasn't a large spread.

Will definitely recommend this hotel if you are coming for the first time to phuket. It's walking distance to the beach and other main areas.

A good hotel to experience the heart of Phuket

I stayed in the Kee residence and spa in Patong beach, Phuket about one week ago and I really enjoyed my stay. It is too close to the beach and the Bangla road is just a few steps away. Fortunately the noisy street didn't make us sleepless at night and it wasn't a problem. The swimming pool was nice and the breakfast was good but if only it was more international. I really enjoyed my stay and suggest the place to those who want to feel the beating of Phuket's heart.

It's like coming home to family!

This is my third time staying with the KEE. Each time I visit it's like coming home to visit family. The staff are friendly and attentive to their guests every need. This time out, I arrived with a severe knee injury which necessitated wearing a knee brace and walking with the aid of an elbow crutch. The staff went out of their way to help me navigate the hotel and Patong Beach as well.

The hotel is conveniently located at the end of Soi Sea Dragon, which, for the uninitiated, is where the entertainment district is for those who enjoy drinking and beautiful dancing (sometimes naked) women. At the other end of Soi Sea Dragon is Bangla Road. Bangla road is THE place to head to in Paton Beach for nighttime entertainment (not counting Suzy Wong's or Club Lover or Harem on Soi Sea Dragon, if you're into that sort of thing). You can find ex-pat as well as, Thai bars and eateries up and down Bangla.

You can also find dance clubs and shopping galore! The Jung Ceylon mall is within a few minutes walking distance from the KEE as well.

If you're into diving, there are two ex-pat diving schools within two miles of the hotel and plenty of scuba diving excursions to the surrouing islands.

The hotel also has an onsite tour broker who can help you choose as many tours as you'd like. Whether visiting Phi Phi or James Bond Islands or staying on land and heading to Tiger Kingdom, you'll find activitieas to keep you busy. Of course, there's also the beach across the street.

The KEE boasts a five-star restaurant and it lives up to expectations. The chef is very personable and oversees each meal as it is prepared and delivered to your table. I've even met him overseeing the breakfast crew in the mornings.

Now, while this is a very impressive hotel, they still have some minor issues to work out. The morning wait staff still neglects to return to their tables for coffee refills. To be fair, they are better than my last stay at refilling my cup. The dining areas are outdoors which is a pain at times due to the flies and mosquitos. I would expect a five star hotel to have better pest control in the dining areas.

The room service menu available via the television does not match the instructions available on the tv or in the room book. For example, the instructions say there should be a category selection to choose breakfast, lunch or dinner. In reality, that is not the case. The menu on the tv itself says you can select food AND drink. No. You cannot. You can only order a limited selection of food. I mentioned this to the maintenance and room service staff and they had clue how to resolve this discrepency. I don't know about you, but when I come to a five star hotel I expect the instructions provided to match the real world experience.

Now to the internet. THIS is a biggie for me as I do a lot of remote work while I travel. The internet here is very, very, very slow. And you literally need to log in to the wireless network every time you leave the hotel and every morning when you get up. Sometimes, you have to log in throughout the day even if you stay at the hotel. This is very aggravating and needs to be resolved by the hotel as quickly as possible. This is the only issue I have complained about each time I visit and it seems like it's only gotten worse. As a computer consultant, I'd be happy to trade a couple of weeks' stay to help the IT staff fix those issues possible to fix. I realize the speed issue is most likely an ISP issue and not one the hotel can easily remedy.

Still, if these are the only complaints, they're minor and easily ignored. Being treated like family with hugs and warm welcomes each time I visit, makes it easy to ignore the minor issues. If you read my reviews from previous stays, you'll see that the staff are very attentive and quick to resolve the major issues.

This is definitely a family friendly hotel and worth the money for the stay. Keep in mind, I've stayed here three times from a little under a month each time (except this stay. Sadly, I could only stay nine days this time but I look forward to returning again next year, God willing).
