What People are saying

Lovely stay

Louise Don 25/08/2017 17:43

Stayed here with 5 friends as we were heading to a music festival in bellahouston park.We stayed in the apartment next door to the hotel which is lovely and has plenty of space. We were also shown rooms in the hotel as we weren't sure whether to upgrade to the apartment, the rooms were clean and well presented but we chose the apartment as it felt like having out own little home and the living area was very spacious. The staff were lovely and very welcoming and always helpful.Breakfast was enjoyable and had plenty of choice. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return in future

excellent value in central location

Stayed here while attending a conference at Glasgow Uni, for which it is extremely convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful; breakfast was fine (I only ever had porridge from the cooked menu so cannot comment on the rest, though it looked perfectly edible); bed was firm and comfy; room was very quiet: in other words, everything that mattered most to me was great. The low room-rate made me worry when I booked about where the savings were made, but they all seemed to be in sensible places that did not spoil the stay. I.e., the room furniture was unmatched basic Argos/2nd hand leftovers, BUT the bed was comfortable with spotless sheets, so I didn't care. The ceiling had those ugly office tiles and the decor was pretty tired generally, but the flat-screen TV worked. There was no hair-dryer in the room but I'm guessing I could have had one from the front desk if I'd wanted. There were only fixed dispensers of bodywash/shampoo in the ensuite (so nothing to steal, for those so inclined), but the little coffee/tea tray had biscuits which were replenished each day, which mattered a whole lot more to me. I had a room on the top floor at the back because I was keen to have somewhere quiet (it was, and had a view of treetops), but colleagues staying in front rooms reported that noise levels were surprisingly low there too. The first floor dining room has fantastic floor-to-ceiling bay windows, which made for a nice start to the day. And finally, when I left a book in my room and didn't contact the hotel about it until 3 weeks later, they replied the very next day to report that they'd found it and would post it out to me. So the customer service is outstanding as far as I'm concerned.

Nice little hotel

Superb location in the West End of Glasgow whilst there be sure to visit Oran Mor. A renovated church and the best Whisky Bar in Glasgow.

Also close by is the Botanical Gardens which are worth a visit.

Nothing speciel but clean, kind and helpfull staff and a great breakfast. When we first came into the lobby we thought that we had made a mistanke booking this hotel, but the room was great and there are some good restaurants in the neighbourhood. We had a great stay.
